  1. I reckon we'll need to get some (mr) muscle into the back line first though.
  2. Christ, speedy recovery Langfield. Hope it's nothing serious.
  3. TC has put on weight you know

    Andy Murray

Live on BBC now http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/9501131.stm Come on Murray!
  5. Swansea currently 4-2 up against Reading in the Championship play off final. Been a cracking game and atmosphere, with former SPL players starring and having considerable influence on the game (Dorius de Vries, how I would have loved us to sign him, Noel Hunt and Stephen Dobbie)

    Summer

A series of mates weddings over the summer, including one in Germany and a stag to Tallinn. Going to head off to Bilbao and San Sebastian at the end of September, so looking to that!
  7. There's been rumours abound the last few months that were stating if Cardiff failed to gain promotion, that they would be fucked. I wonder if this is the beginning of a series of cutbacks.
  8. Certainly sounds like he's played plenty of games down there. And league 1, I'd hope we could compete with in terms of wages (although see Grant Basey). Where did Swindon finish, wonder why he's leaving? Edit: just looked and they got relegated, so I imagine they're probably getting him off their wage list.
  9. Played well and got promoted to the Championship with Peterborough today.
  10. Dutch play off final for the last Europa League spot. ADO won 5-1 in the first leg, and now Gronigen have made it 5-1 in the second. Penalties now being played. ADO won 4-3 on penalties and in Europe for the first time in some 20 years I think.
  11. I agree with you to a certain extent, but its something the spl could learn about. Marketing and hyping your own league. Incidentally, as I said I thought last nights game was actually a good game. Not something that can be said for most finals, no matter the league.
  12. Good game, unusual for a champs league final . Best team won. How Valencia stayed on the pitch was beyond me, I thought he had a terrible game.
  13. Completely agree, and I was relieved to see him leave. Just couldn't be arsed, but I wonder if he epitomised the mood within the club, certainly hasn't lifted since he left :-/ As I said, signing Anderson would have been a coup, could have saved Considine's career with having someone as composed and passionate alongside him.
  14. I'd hope MBT is referring to the seasons when he first signed, in which he was phenomenal. That midfield was probably the best midfield pairing we'd had in a decade. If he's referring to Seve as CB, then he's wrong
  15. What can i say, only on the weekends
  16. I'll counter that, who do you realistically think we can sign? I've read a few boards where people were even saying they didn't want to resign smith. What the fuck? We deserved to finish in the position we finished. We're unattractive as a club with the fans turning their backs, I genuinely wouldn't want to go to a club like that if i was a player. Anderson would have been a coup for us, and I don't expect to see the club signing anyone of his or Seve's calibre anytime soon. Call it negative, but I call it being realistic.
  17. Any predictions for tonight then? I'm hoping United hold firm and sneak a victory. Would be nice for Giggsy to score the winner Think it will be quite a tight affair, hopefully a 2-1 united win. Possibly after extra time.
  18. Gil Scott-Heron passed away today.
  19. Great, more disappointment! I was hoping with Craig brown in charge we might be a bit more attractive to players.
  20. I had to pause it loads to make any of it out. Legacy badge is quite nice from what I managed to see.
  21. It's a positive step made by the club, and I applaud them for it. Shame it's probably in the worst location for it, but that may have been political in itself. Merkie would have been perfect, or right on the picket line in the south so when the camaras are there, it sounds like there are more than just sea gulls there.
  22. Thats the spirit eh I'm not panicing just yet, though it would be nice to see a decent signing being made, and soon.
  23. As if we're not already starved of good quality football as it is!
  24. Can't say I care about the other 3 countries tbh!
  25. I'm still surprised that this hasn't been picked up by the various home nations FA's. The 6 nations is incredibly successful and exciting, I don't see how something similar couldn't work for football. Obviously England will be the stick in the muds who don't want to comit to something like this, as they probably view themselves bigger than all the rest put together. But staying in one city for the whole tournament? pointless.
