  1. Are we though? I think its time for us to face facts. We have done nothing of merit (trophy-wise) for decades. We've not challenged the old firm even when there is only one of them or even reached a final since the turn of the century. I don't think it is a big job anymore. The problems clearly lie higher in the club, but until there is a serious momentum shift, I can't see anything changing. My apathy levels are clearly quite high, but again I think in the grand scheme of things, he is potentially a good appointment. I liked what I saw when he was at Perth, and hopefully he'll be able to get something out of the current squad and utilize the youngsters better. As I said previously, I can totally understand your frustrations, personally, I wanted Collins.
  2. Where did you end up watching the game mav? I thought Snodgrass was unlucky, stupid tackle in a silly position but hey ho.
  3. I can understand where you're coming from bobby, but I also think it reflects the general apathy towards the club at the moment. We were never going to get an inspiring managerial appointment, as much as we'd all hoped we would. I think this appointment (providing he doesnt doesn't foster back) is certainly better than latrine and the majority of other names that were mooted about. he definitely has my support. If folk on the hat hate him, he's an instant hit with me. Arseholes.
  4. No boozer for me tonight, went out last night. Much better to be hungover on someone else's time
  5. I meant to add, i've not been to The Boot or The Skinners Arms before, but i'm sure i've been past the Boot and they've advertised games. Good luck !
  6. Ooft, you may struggle tbh. But there is always the O'Neils or Euston Flyer which are right across from Kings X / the British library. As horrible as they are, they may be your best bet i'm afraid! There are also a couple of other timmy style pubs in the area, The Boot and The Skinners Arms are on Judd street and around the corner from Oneils.
  7. Very much this. Could be an excellent appointment.
  8. Agreed, as much as i'd like to see either DF or McLeish, the SPL is far below them now (sadly). Like Ingolfssonorwinnie? I've gone for Collins too, I think he'll shake the team up one way or another and won't have any qualms about getting rid of the coasters. We need someone with a completely different philosophy and as much as I like what I see at County, all I hear is that it's about the Adams snr and not jnr.
  9. I thought we all were, thats why I jumped on the
  10. Genuinely, for some reason I thought scoring 3 goals at the tim dome was sufficient to get at least a draw. When was the last time scored 3 against the dhims away?
  11. I guess as soon as possible but not before a suitable replacement is found.
  12. I found myself agreeing with him at the beginning (worryingly) but thankfully it didn't take long for his true side to come out. What an asbolute arsehole. No, you belong where you are and only one of you should exist (if at all).
  13. Well done St. Mirren, fuck the Jambos. On a side note, went to Brisbane road on saturday to see Leyton Orient - Carlisle, sadly Miller was injured so wasn't anywhere to be seen, but it's a great wee ground with a nice supporters bar at the back of one of the stands. Properly nice atmosphere in the bar, everyone having a laugh and reasonably priced beer to boot! Recommend going if you've got the chance. £23 was a bit steep I though, but we got to see plenty of goals and the facilities were decent enough. The standard of football was still better than the majority of SPL games i've seen this season.
  14. I'm still at loss to how you can throw a 2 goal lead like that. Words fail me.
  15. surely you're o'ffended Mav? I saw prick Lennon was saying how he wouldn't appreciate browns work till he was gone. Aye, fuck off ye prick.
  16. Currently 3-1 up on Killie, though we've also missed a penalty.
  17. Sadly, you're probably correct on that one. Interesting to see Collins' name getting mentioned a lot more now. As i've said, i'd be happy with him, and Bobby makes a good point. I hadn't considered his past with CB. Just please don't let it be Latrine.
  18. In/Oot: Oot Prematcher: Lunch / Pub Match: Brisbane Road postmatcher: Pub session for the scotland game Prediction: 5-0
  19. haha, it was just for you Put on a few quid on Long run and Sir Des Champs.
  20. Quite tempted myself, but I see Sunnyhillboy is a non runner now.

searching for sugar man was excellent. Quite humbling really, as well as being completely bizarre. Wasn't too sure about Marley. Decent enough watch but possibly a bit too long.
  22. Ooft, by the skin of their teeth!
  23. RDU, Collins is probably one of the few that would be bit different. A winner, and he did have to work with someone elses team. The rest are pretty much meh. Levein did good things previously, but the Scotland gig really showed him up.
