There is some truth in rockets rant in the other thread so I'll stick to this game only. Derek is a fantastic manager but last night's team was bizarre and unbalanced. It summed it up when ward was taking a gk and the whole team were on the left hand side of the pitch. It was the wrong team. We needed play our best available team to build confidence. Logan and Rooney should have started. I remember the last blip we had and that was again down to poor selection and substitutions. He needs to get back to basics. I doubt the press had much to do with it, it was confidence and luck. As I said earlier, we could have got something there. Flood and Goodwillie were awful. Reynolds not ready and consi back to his bombscare self. Terrible, terrible defending. Globe Reds 5-aside team could have done better.

I was probably being overly critical, but I would say there was a lack or urgency at set pieces (when we had them). Our deliveries improved but not one player attacked them. Oddly enough, we could have draw if not won that game had McGinn / Rooney / Logan been more fortunate. Confidence is Definitely an issue and the changes point is a very valid one. We changed system 3 times tonight and it didn't do a thing. One thing we need to do is play our best Defenders from the start. They were a complete shambles tonight.

The only reason why I can see why this is allowed to continue is because of the US and Israeli governments being tied at multiple levels along with post war guilt. However, this guilt is causing deaths on both sides and it has long disgusted me that the west do nothing about it. Israel clearly want to carry out genocide, the illegal settlers (whom I wish nothing but ill health and sadness for) are used as a sort of militia. One country that will never receive my money. If Palestine had some form of natural resource, you could guarantee that this wouldn't be happening. Such is the sadness and predictability of governments today.
