This is the non-Aberdeen sub forum, no? Kinda fair game.

Plus that's an Aberdeen legend you're talking about. Up there with Lee Richardson...

Brown was Jutes hero. He’d be overjoyed.

First of the nations league semi finals on tonight. Currently 1-0 Holland at half time. Been decent game so far.

Did not see that final score coming. The Dutch are just awful at the moment.

  3. Do we really think it's going to be the end of gutter boy Boris though? Surely he's going to be making moves to take away the "brexit" vote. Tories will be worried as it'll fracture their voters.

UEFA are looking at bigger venues for conference finals. Original plan was for these games to be played in small venues to spread finals around countries that could not host a champions league final but they have now decided to look at that due to demand for tickets for first two finals.

Makes sense, guess it just depends on “small”. I’m pleased for west ham, should serve as an inspiration to other teams that the dream is still there.

Bril Manc let me know which teams you see - are you taking the boys?

Our first attempt at the stadium was a bit of a disaster. One wanted to leave within 15 mins, the other lasted a bit longer. But I had promised flags and there were no flags🤦‍♂️ So will see if we can tempt them again! I'm sure the doughnuts will be sufficient blackmail :D

Stuggart won 3-1 in the end and 6-1 on aggregate. Condemns Hamburg to 6th straight season in 2nd tier.

Wild that they’ve been down there so long. Amusing though, hun bastards 😂

  7. Queens Park and / or Q.O.T.S. Both horrendously shite days. Fortunately never physically witnessed any pumpings from the ugly sisters, but our cup semi finals appearances were pretty embarrassing. Still, don't think they touch the sides of the two I mentioned. Actually, there was also a big loss to Livi which I remember getting the local pub to put on. Maximum regerts.

  8. Summer? Months away :D May try and take the boys to the mountain half-way up the north island this winter though. UK trip and cost of living hammered our savings this year, but hoping my folks are able to come over during the summer. Will be making the most of the in-laws campervan too.

Been a weird winter so far, second month in and it's the first proper cold day we've had. Definitely not had the rain that @Reekie_Red has suffered, nor the East Coast this year. Been very bizarre. Must be luring us into a false sense of security.

Hampden yesterday was probably the first time I've noticed inappropriately bright and flashy advertising boards at a Scottish game. I don't know if it was just the camera angle or the particular adverts, but they were really off putting.

Vaguely remember them at the semi final last season? Maybe a viaplay thing?

Aye, was a pretty miserable 90 minutes.

All five goals, the goalscorer is unmarked.

Two from free headers, two from no-one reacting to get to a rebound, and the other (the first goal) because McKenzie is caught out of position, then lunges into a challenge when there was already a player covering, meaning he gets turned inside out.

Hayes and McKenzie were constantly cut apart with through balls, neither of them knowing who was meant to be marking the man.

Hayes should know better. McKenzie, he played like a player who has spent most of the season either injured or on the bench, and is then thrown into a game away to Celtic because the first choice LCB is ineligible. He needs more game time before being given that type of test.

Going forward, the crossing was abysmal, only one decent ball I can think of which was from a Hayes corner which Bain punched away.

To answer your question, yeh I can't remember any shots at goal. But that's actually three games now (all in a row) where we haven't had a single shot on target against Celtic.

That’s horrendous and unacceptable. I hope we never see a result like that again under his watch. Yes, back end of the season was better than the start and middle, but that aggregate score against them is never acceptable. Regardless of circumstances.

On Clarkson, the club have teased a full interview with him on RedTV next week.

He won't be an Aberdeen player next week, so it's either an emotional goodbye interview and "I'll always remember you" piece. Or coinciding with the announcement of a permanent move.

    Let's hope it's the latter!
