But they are expecting to be without Gronkjaer and Hangeland so they are missing two top players. Just need to snap Allback in the first 5 and we are sorted
Severin, severin, speak so slightly
Severin, down on your bended knee
Taste the whip, in love not given lightly
Taste the whip, now plead for me
Get the fucking job done Seve for fuck sake, time to be a hero
There is a point where Miller receives the ball on about his own 30-40 yard line. Before he has even controlled the ball he is storming through the centre circle like a man possessed. Ends up in the left edge of the box trying to put in a cross ball. Brilliant stuff. You sensed that failing to win that tie was not an option, if we could see that mentality on Thursday, I would settle for that, regardless of the result.
Although there is obviously no denying the difference in skill from that squad to this I don't think the gulf is as big as people suggest. The real difference is in attitude. That Aberdeen side had a good number of superb players but it also had some journeymen like Dougie Bell. They were world beaters because their collective and singular attitudes were exemplary. The key thing that Ferguson did for Aberdeen was to not only make them all believe they could do anything but that they had the right to expect it. He would never tolerate anyone getting outside of their ego but was a genuis at maximising the individuals contribution to a team effort. Huge difference from what we see nowadays.
Every other teams support is singing about their club, a few comedy songs about other players wives etc. These fucking morons are singing about swords and shields and shit, its like they are at war rather than football. Fucking neanderthal, knuckle dragging imbeciles
I've won 3x£10 and 1x£100 (bought a full Dons kit to pump money back into club) in last 3 years. Won a tenner in October, didn't even deposit the cheque in my account.
Thanks for telling what I would have done had the situation been different. I appreciate that. It happens to be my opinion that we do not need to ask for this game to be cancelled and that a needless standard is being set where suddenly challenging yourselves in a bigger season and bigger games against bigger teams is not part of the rich tapestry of competitive football. Is that OK with you or should I just stop my 'moaning' and shut up so we can all read your flamboyant opinions instead ?
Exactly my problem with it. This was a great opportunity to show Rangers that they were being ridiculous and that we are bigger and better than that. Now we just look like a bunch of pricks trying to bend the rules in our favour. I'd hoped after the Kingston fuck up we would understand that stance and take the moral high ground.
