Normally at this point I'd be posting this:
This is exactly the sort of stage in a run that we get to and are caught with our pants down, we believe that anything is possible only to crash back to reality with a beating by the OF.
However.....
I 100% believe that we are going to take these hun bastards to the fucking cleaners on Saturday. YYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
Just like the Zander goal at Parkhead last season that never stood, they can piss and moan all they like, it'll change nothing...
The game is done, the victory won, we fucked the tims now bring on the hun.
Looks like MacDonald up front might be a better option, matching Mackie for goals now
Will we see the following headline next week:
Non-hitmen backed to bag 30 goals
Possibly an assumption that Miller will keep himself in the team ? Unless he gets injured or sold there should be no real reason to require Wright to show us anything other than his benchwarming capability.
If this guy plays a good attacking style of full-back football then we could be looking shit hot on the flanks with him and Mulgrew pinging balls in from deep. Backed up with Sone and Jamie Smith we would be unstoppable.
Is that better ST ?
As flattering as it is that you feel the need to follow my cerebral activity in priority over your own I would encourage you to be independant of thought and feeling. Using other peoples emotions as a vehicle for your own is always going to bring you down
Sure you get a story like this prior to every game. When we win are we to assume that its a successful tactic or does it only affect the outcome of we lose ? Not having a go Al Just interested what the rules of influence are when it comes to news stories pre-match
I'm concerned about Sunday. In recent years we have generally done well against Celtic when they have taken it for granted that they are going to pump us. The 3-2 and 2-1 wins at Parkhead were shock results, even last seasons QF victory they probably thought they had secured the tie when they robbed us at Pittodrie with a last minute equaliser.
Celtic will be coming to Pittodrie knowing that we are on form and they are not. That means they will put an extra effort in to the game. I'd be surprised if we get anything better than a draw.
There is little evidence that this actually happens. Recent worries include:
Lovell (nope)
McNamara (lol)
Stewart (OK scored for QOS but lets be honest nobody haunted us that day except us)
McCauley (Was he even playing at Alloa ?)
I'm not convinced that players who leave Aberdeen for another team in Scotland are up to much. Are you wetting yourself over Dick Byrrrrrrrrrrne's appearance at ICT ?
Assuming we win the Eats Fife game (its on Feb 7 BTW) I think the next round will be March 7. How fucked off am I to find my wife has organised a day/night at a friends. We better not get a great away draw for that one. Another boring as shit home tie will do, or a Sunday game
Eats Fife were a very useful side in division 3 last season but they took a while to get going in div 2 this season but are doing reasonably well now. They are a better side than Alloa and will not be a push over but we should dispose of them without too much difficulty at Pittodrie.
4 all SPL ties is it ?
ICT v Killie
Hearts v Falkirk
Motherwell v St Mirren
Hamilton v UTD
With Hibs going today thats almost half the SPL gone before the next round draw.
