  1. Don't forgot them all being too small
  2. They're a very musical bunch of jolly chaps aren't they ? I think you guys are being a bit harsh on this gentleman, I felt a real sense of warmth from their traditional folk singing and all round good fun vibe in that bar. OF fans are always a pleasure to have around I find, their tales of quiet and reasonable behaviour up and down the lands as they infect us all with their spirit and goodwill towards all men is as near to self-actualisation as you will get. Roll on the huns on Saturday for more japes and craic
  3. Would I be wrong in thinking that the family section at Parkhead is the area that is immediately to the right of the away end ? If it is then I'd be looking closer to home before criticising. The venom and bile that comes from that section at Parkhead is bad enough but the real insult is the genetic anarchy and the fashion sense. Its oppressive beyond compare
  4. How nice is it to be talking about tweaks rather than wholesale changes though I'm loving this week. Catch that Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  5. Fair point, Seve is doing a good job in there just now. However, I never really know if our defence is going to perform well or badly in that area so I'd like to see a more consistent performer in there. If Seve can deliver that then its a much better outcome for sure.
  6. It was really nice on Sunday to listen to a game against Celtic and pretty much always feel that the game was in our control. We bossed a large part of the 1st half and everytime we let it slip and lost the lead we just went up and took it back. I haven't felt that confidence about a Celtic game in years. I think we do have a good solid unit now with a great spirit about it. I'm genuinley excited to see if this new RB can give us the final balance that is required to really push us on. That will only leave us with one area of fragility in my opinion - a solid CB to partner ZD. With a decent battling midfield partnership we now have the luxury of playing wide attacking midfielders and if we can support them with pacey wing backs on either side then we are really cooking. I agree with Padre though, its the defence you are never sure will turn up or not. When they do they are good but when they don't the rest of the teams balance makes little difference.

    Celeb Deaths

I'll bet when he started to die nobody had a clue what was going on or what he was up to but just at the end it all became crystal clear...he was dying.
  8. I too think Well are the ones to watch in the coming weeks as they have a fully fit squad for the first time this season and that is what kept them up there last year. Can't see Hibs doing much more than they have already. Late Feb will be interesting as I think its us v Hearts, followed by us v UTD then Hearts v UTD the next week. By the end of Feb we will have a pretty good idea of how things look. It will be an interesting top 6 again this year with 2 teams slugging it out for the title and 3 or 4 for 2 or 3 UEFA places. My money is on Aberdeen, UTD, Motherwell and Hearts making top 6.
  9. Keep team together and push for another European run. Even a few ties and a big draw against a German side can net you a cool million clams. While I can see your sense in selling up and clearing debt, I'm not so sure that rubbing that out will make huge changes to how we compete in future. Football is going to go through big changes soon and the financial aspects of clubs will see a sea change. Lets make hay today
  10. Normally at this point I'd be posting this: This is exactly the sort of stage in a run that we get to and are caught with our pants down, we believe that anything is possible only to crash back to reality with a beating by the OF. However..... I 100% believe that we are going to take these hun bastards to the fucking cleaners on Saturday. YYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
  11. Just like the Zander goal at Parkhead last season that never stood, they can piss and moan all they like, it'll change nothing... The game is done, the victory won, we fucked the tims now bring on the hun.
  12. Is that the return of snoyl ?
  13. Looks like MacDonald up front might be a better option, matching Mackie for goals now Will we see the following headline next week: Non-hitmen backed to bag 30 goals
  14. Must be on for beating Ebbe's 9 (was it 9?) in a row at Pittodrie.
  15. After 18/01/09 Defence 8 Midfield 10 Strikers 16 Considine 1 Diamond 3 Mulgrew 4 MacDonald 5 Young 1 Aluko 3 Duff 1 Maguire 1 Mackie 5 Miller 10 Non-strikers 18 goals Strikers 16 goals Good day for the non-strikers
  16. Possibly an assumption that Miller will keep himself in the team ? Unless he gets injured or sold there should be no real reason to require Wright to show us anything other than his benchwarming capability.
  17. 2 draws, 2 points. Although in EE terms its 2 draws, 0 points
  18. If this guy plays a good attacking style of full-back football then we could be looking shit hot on the flanks with him and Mulgrew pinging balls in from deep. Backed up with Sone and Jamie Smith we would be unstoppable. Is that better ST ?
  19. As flattering as it is that you feel the need to follow my cerebral activity in priority over your own I would encourage you to be independant of thought and feeling. Using other peoples emotions as a vehicle for your own is always going to bring you down
  20. Sure you get a story like this prior to every game. When we win are we to assume that its a successful tactic or does it only affect the outcome of we lose ? Not having a go Al Just interested what the rules of influence are when it comes to news stories pre-match
  21. I'm concerned about Sunday. In recent years we have generally done well against Celtic when they have taken it for granted that they are going to pump us. The 3-2 and 2-1 wins at Parkhead were shock results, even last seasons QF victory they probably thought they had secured the tie when they robbed us at Pittodrie with a last minute equaliser. Celtic will be coming to Pittodrie knowing that we are on form and they are not. That means they will put an extra effort in to the game. I'd be surprised if we get anything better than a draw.
  22. There is little evidence that this actually happens. Recent worries include: Lovell (nope) McNamara (lol) Stewart (OK scored for QOS but lets be honest nobody haunted us that day except us) McCauley (Was he even playing at Alloa ?) I'm not convinced that players who leave Aberdeen for another team in Scotland are up to much. Are you wetting yourself over Dick Byrrrrrrrrrrne's appearance at ICT ?
  23. Incredible how similar they are. Miller was a little tighter on the defender so it doesn't look quite as classy but its a beaut
  24. After 13/01/09 Defence 6 Midfield 8 Strikers 16 Considine 1 Diamond 1 Mulgrew 4 MacDonald 4 Young 1 Aluko 3 Maguire 1 Mackie 5 Miller 10 Non-strikers 14 goals Strikers 16 goals Well done Lee, starting to shape up nicely now
  25. Assuming we win the Eats Fife game (its on Feb 7 BTW) I think the next round will be March 7. How fucked off am I to find my wife has organised a day/night at a friends. We better not get a great away draw for that one. Another boring as shit home tie will do, or a Sunday game
