The courts cost £24 per hour. That's more than most can afford and/or are willing to pay to play tennis. This is a big part of the problem. I'm not blaming the national infrastructure deficiency for Murray's failure to win a grand slam but rather commending him for being as successfull as he has been despite it.

Disagree. I like the guy and respect him also for what he's managed to acheive despite his homeland's pathetic Tennis infrastructure.
  5. Agree with this 100%. I'm choosing not to watch the pumping tonight. If and when Scotland (Levein) do something to inspire me again I will perhaps become more interested again. This is the lowest point in my whole football supporting life. I wasn't at the game but obviously I watched it on TV after being at Hapden and having my hope levels taken up. It was an utterly devastating 90 minutes and no amount of being half Dutch made it any fucking better.
  6. It's perfectly clear? No one had any problems comprehending apart from the confrontational one.

  8. I'm happy for Milne to win the auction but only after he's been drawn into an intense bidding war.
  9. Whilst I'm no fan of booing players that wear out shirt, in their defence he was playing shite for us.
  10. Have any pictures of the inside been released?
  11. The new stadium was built a stones throw from where Highbury stood. But the difference there is that The Emirates was built because Arsenal FC Club needed a larger capacity ground. They have a huge demand for their product (lol) and unlike our new ground it isn't being built soley as a ploy to make money off of the valuable land our current stadium is on. I appreciate that Pittodrie Street needs to remain because of safety regulations or whatever but I refuse to believe there's absolutely no way around it. Even if the road was re-routed. Then again I don't think we even need to redevelop Pittodrie. It does the job fine. It looks neglected because it is neglected.

  13. That's why we need a huge crippling mortgage.
  14. Lee Evans and Coldplay.
  15. That's what I was thinking. That'd be the only way he could sort things out. I believe the Madrid Council did something similar for Real Madrid that got them out of a spot of financial bother.
  16. The only way we can make him fix it is by hurting him in the pocket. Stop going to games until he's forced to do something. Knowing Stewarty, though, he'll probably just let the club go under.
  17. Does it? I just stick the cooker on 5 and it boils in no time.
  18. Isn't that what the survey's for?

Firstly, no. And secondly it's the iPhne 4s.

Has someone tried plugging him into iTunes and doing a restore?
  21. So we Sell Pittodrie for £14m (roughly £1m per acre) and sell the naming rights. Then we need a mortgage (massive debt) and then we're 80% there? That leaves roughly another £7.6m to pull out of someone's arse (which will do doubt be secured against the new ground also?) and this is all before we've paid off our current debt? This new ground will fucking ruin us. And this makes me sadder than the ground actually being put up for sale. Aye Pittodrie is a shithole but it has character. Sorry, TLG but the claims that the "noise" from the upper deck goes over the pitch and the angle of the South Stand roof is wrong are quite frankly worrying. These are not the cause of the lack of atmosphere. The lack of atmosphere is caused by Milne choking the life out of the club with his poor appointments, debt and subsequent spending cuts which tie the hands of our managers. I've been at Pittodrie plenty of times when it had a red-hot atmosphere. Anticipation mixed with positivity and a lot of fans make a good atmosphere - nothing else. IMO my opinion a gleaming, generic new stadium will quell the atmosphere more than anyone else. Anyone been to Highbury and then the Emirates? Huge difference. I'm not looking forward to this shitty new stadium one little bit. Don't even know if I'll go. [/rant] FFS fuck sake Milne. I hate you.
  22. Sack the board.
  23. It was the build-up that was so good and the finish matched. As I said at the time if Man Utd had scored that goal there would have been a collective hard-on from the Sky Sports pundits and comentators.
  24. Initially I didn't think it was hand ball but after seeing it again I would concede that it was. Lucky to stay on the park really as he committed 3 bookable offences. Still funny seeing Arsene squirm.
  25. Fallon's looked good IMO my opinion. Always a threat in the air. I've got no doubt he'll get goals for us.
