  1. Just tested, and the search function appears to be working fine. What problems are you having harcus?
  2. True, redordead. He's had ONE competitive match so far. Just so happens that his one match resulted in a resounding loss due to a lack of backup defenders. But we ALWAYS have at least one crazy result a season that keeps the back pages of the Record filled for a week. Whether it be 5-1 against Sigma, 4-2 against Dunfermline, 4-3 against Queen of the South, or 6-1 against Livi. We always have one or two absolutely shocking results per season. Nice to get one of them out of the way early doors. It's just unfortunate that it's in European competition!
  3. fixed
  4. So it is! I never noticed. Will fix it right now!
  5. Smileys seem okay from this end. Try completely refreshing your browser. Hold Shift and press F5.
  6. I've just completed some maintenance work on the site that should've increased the security of DonsTalk and also helped speed things up a little bit. Can you all let me know if you encounter any problems?
  7. Haha. If you're an Aberdeen fan ... you're brave enough for anything. Either that or fuckin mental.
  8. It helps when you don't have complete fannies like Bougherra telling players "nah, don't play in Scotland. It's fuckin shite!". I'm sure that bodes well for any player looking to ply his trade in Scotland. The SPL is a good springboard for players with ambition. Look at Aluko, for example. He was invisible in the Birmingham reserves. He's playing regularly up the park for Aberdeen, and now he's a fully-blooded Nigerian international.
  9. Notwantingtobecuptieditis shouldn't worry him. Celtic are on their way out anyway
  10. Get back to the beers and whores (both cheap, I hear!)
  11. FFS. McGhee will be gone by the time we see Wright getting a game again!
  12. Like the Mirror Group papers. If in doubt, wheel out the Toastergate fiasco. I saw it cropped up again in The Mirror a few days ago. Couldnae believe it. It was a fuckin dodgy toaster that was a fire-hazard. It was apparently replaced the following day with a new one!! Bet you the Mirror Group didn't bother reporting that one, eh? Course not. Then they'd have one less crap-ola story to wheel out about the Dons to keep their knuckle-dragging readership amused. FYI - I only read the Mirror headlines because they appear on the newsnow newsfeeds everysooften.

  14. I read the article in the P&J about Wiggy giving money to McGhee to sign some players following the Sigma shambles. Whilst it's probably a case of throwing money at a cause that is already lost, I applaud Wiggy. The Dons have no money whatsoever, and our chairman is in the contruction business - a sector that is still suffering heavily from the recession. For Wiggy to find cash when neither the SPL TV deal nor his own construction business can find so much as a spare penny is commendable. Lets hope McGhee doesn't spend sixteen weeks on one player. Seems he had all his eggs in the Plymouth Argyle basket previously, which was a stupid thing to do. Mark, use that cash wisely, but use it QUICKLY. We need cover for Thursday night!

  16. Not such a bad idea, mate. Get him and McGhee to pop their boots back on again, and we might actually have a bit of balls about us.
  17. We were banking on the Europa League for extra revenue this season. I reckon McGhee's team is gonna have to work wonders in both cups to make up for this defeat. Mind you, if Motherwell can score eight goals in Europe, surely tae fuck we can score five
  18. Reckon there's gonna be plenty of space in the stands for these banners. Remember, many are still deciding whether or not to purchase a season ticket. I reckon tonight's result will have made many fans' minds up
  19. One thing that I gained from that article was finding out that Hearts are £30.48m in debt. Holy shit!! How the fuck can they sustain that with an average gate of 14000
  20. I blame the recession and swine flu.
  21. Reckon The Scotsman were a bit dry on news stories that day.
  22. Afraid they'll be on the bench if Ricky Foster and Derek Young are both fit.
  23. The same way they persuaded the Bonetti brothers, Sara, Caniggia, di Marchi and Carranza to move to Dundee. World-class South American / Italian players: "What's good about Dundee?" Bonetti brothers: "A neverending supply of coccaine and whores" World-class South American / Italian players: "Where's that pen?"
  24. No it's not the worrying news you were all dreading that Willie Miller or Lee Miller has been sacked. Calm yourselves. Dust yourselves down. Prepare to laugh once again. Alex Miller, the buffoon who singlehandedly dismantled Aberdeen Football Club and set the club back by an entire decade whilst he laughed and drank wine at the table of the Scotland international coaches, has once again been sacked. This time, J-League relegation candidates JEF Unioted Chiba. Oh how I laugh in the face of this abomination of a man. I think Calderwood's hard work over the past few seasons has finally brought the club back on track after the shambles Miller created. Absolute wanker of the highest order.
