  1. In/Oot: In Pre-match: Hame Match: Main Stand Post-match: Hame Prediction: 2-1 Dons
  2. highly unlikely, but it did happen . . . .
  3. there must be some kinda award for the manager who makes a tit of himself the most, McGhee would surely be in the running.
  4. Now that's a sight I think we should all see . . . . . .
  5. Aye, tho my heart missed a beat when I read the initial bbc sport article on it, they had the article title as: QotS 5-1 Falkirk. That woulda been good. ha ha
  6. Right, to answer the questions one by one. Were padded seats heated? - No they weren't, but I would guess they shoulda been - wouldn't have done any harm. How Would you rate Ladies Day? Value for money? - I would say that ladies day is value for money. The nosh was top notch, couldn't fault the service. With the exception of the half time break when they're not allowed to serve alcohol, there was a member of staff always on hand to ask you if you wanted another drink just as you finished the last one. They were all very courteous and polite (I know you should expect that, but still) Obviously there were also a lot of corporate folk there too and it's really them that the auction is aimed at (lowest starting price of the day I think was £50, but most started at £100). I know it was to raise money for a breast cancer charity, but it would have been nice to have some things auctioned off that even us plebs could afford, so that would be my one critism. The players who were in attendance took their time to autograph what you wanted autographed, and get your photo taken with them if that's what you wanted. What was it like wearing a dress to the footie? - If I'm brutally honest - bloody wierd (and damn cold!) It contributed to the atmosphere in the dining suite but as for sitting watching the game dressed to the nines, I certainly won't be doing that too often if I can help it. Apart from the obvious, you being colder than in jeans, fitba top, scarf, etc etc it just didn't feel right. Did you get stovies? - No we didn't get stovies. We had a bacon butty to start (we arrived at 1030am) accompanied by a glass of pink champagne, then half time was pie, cupcake and cup of tea or coffee, then the meal was lemon & tarragon coated chicken, leek and tattie cake and veg, dessert was chocolate and caramel pavlova with fresh strawberries. Right up until last orders it was as much drinks of whatever you wanted So all in all a thoroughly fab day, I would certainly recommend it. This has to surely go down as one of the longest posts in history, but rest assured I won't be making this a habit (bit like the dress wearing to the game) Looking forward to ladies day next year!!!
  7. Good ole reliable SPL officials. . . . . .
  8. I hope not, cos I sure as hell ain't wearing a red dress every week to the football. Be back to my jeans, fitba top, scarf n gloves for Tuesday night.
  9. definitely a mis-print. Epic Fail!!! :hammer:
  10. Was definitely instructions from the top for Hartley to take it
  11. I was in the padded seats in RDS so at the opposite end of the pitch for this one. Should the credit for this one have been taken away from Vernon. Can anyone who saw it closer shed any light on this?
  12. I would have said that after today's game we have a fair chance for the tie against Falkirk on Tuesday, but seeing their result today has me slightly worried . . . . . But nevertheless - COYR :
  13. Forgot to phone Waterstones and check. Does anyone know if they got a few copies signed to sell to "randoms" in the shop after the event?
  14. It was great to watch a game where we put some effort in, and picked up the three points. Was definitely worth going to the ladies day which was great fun and the result made it all the more worth while. COYR

    Friday 3.30pm

Today has been the slowest day ever in the history of the world - (either that or I've just had really nasty things to do at work . . hmm) well thank crunchie it's nearly home o'clock. Plans for tonight: naff all, try and persuade the other half he should get a pizza delivered for tea to save me cooking, and perhaps go and get me some hobgoblin beer whilst he's at it. A girl can dream can't she? Plans for tomorrow: up early o'clock to be dressed to the nines to be at the RDS for 10.30am. Jeepers I hope we win tomorrow, though I have my doubts.
  16. In/Oot - In Prematcher - 1030am RDS coporate dining for ladies day apparently consisting of bacon butty and pink champagne Match - Padded RDS with a funcy frock on so i'll likely be baltic! Postmatcher - back to the corporate dining for a proper feed Prediction - 2-1 to us with a late goal to pick up the 3 points
  17. what he said. that same comment still applies nearly a year later . . . . oh dear me . . . .
  18. Not only does MM "stick up" for his players, it seems he also supports his coaching staff . . . . . "Scott Leitch deserves to be sent off every week - except this week! It's the quietest I've heard him, the least animated I've seen him, and suddenly he's getting sent to the stand. " taken from the "Quotes from the press room" section of the afc website
  19. Well I must be a glutton for punishment as I'll be there, so that's one seat   (that's the dance of insanity - cue the men in white coats!)
  20. Apparently he's signing copies of his autobiography this coming Saturday at Waterstones in Aberdeen.
  21. And if McGhee gets the boot, who on earth could turn the team around . . . .
  22. Thanks, you mean to say the padded seats in the RDS aren't heated too? . . . . . . . . .
