  1. Gunn would only have organised the visas, the flights, and the programme of payments to the selling club. He was merely a pen-pusher.
  2. Whilst it’s hardly consolation given our surrender today, I had a keek into the Jutebastards’ Footymad forum, and the comments on their loss. Like their previous self-frottage over every manager appointed since the internet allowed us insights to their twisted synapses, ‘Sir Jim’ is now getting the ‘fuck him’ revisionist treatment. He’s a fucking fraud who should never have been anywhere near Pittodrie, but he’s a good fit for those plastic wankers. i have subsequently sanitised my hands.
  3. Thelin’s post-match interview on Red TV suggests he’s had enough. His resigned demeanour and ‘fuck this for a game of soldiers’ tone are not a good look. He mentioned - quite pointedly - the lack of player desire and responsibility, which was echoed by Shinnie in his summing-up, suggesting that there are known prima donnas in the squad who lack the commitment to get stuck in. The coming week is very probably going to be painful.
  4. Former Don (and Maroon on loan) Finn Yeats in the Babies’ starting XI.
  5. 60 (sixty) years ago today, 3 January 1966, I was privileged to be allowed to attend Pittodrie for the first time. Jimmy Wilson and Billy Little had us 2-0 ahead at HT. Perth scored three in the second half. Every time I see Chalky Whyte, I give him grief for spending the second half on his butt as the pitch was icebound, and Saints players had changed into better footwear for the conditions. It was neither my best day, nor my worst as a Red.
  6. Just win - by means fair, foul, or fortunate. Stop overthinking things. Forget their fucking formation and tactics Play the best available 11 players from the start. Nae much to ask for, is it?
  7. I’ll accept your theory, Jute.
  8. They’ll be in an even stranger place tomorrow in Bonehead Racist Central where shouting at hotels is the pastime of choice of the cerebrally-bereft.
  9. The original club shop in the early 1970s was in Nelson Street. Number 57, if memory serves me sufficiently, for I am a rapidly-ageing, non-mellowing, Bertie Miller-haranguing curmudgeon. They also used to sell basic merch from the pie shoppie lean-to at the King Street End.
  10. It’s the “KDM Evolution Trophy” apparently, and without young Bav scoring again, the Masons won 9-0. Wankers.
  11. The Inverness Masons are leading Dumbarton 7-0 at HT in some minor skirmish in Dumbarton (sorry Mason). Alfie Bavidge - whose granda, Mitch, I can remember banging in goals for Keith decades ago - has scored four. Fuck the Heelan Hun Caley bstds, but fine work from the loon.
  12. As in “cocks”, I guess.
  13. Utter tinpot wankage. https://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/news/9169/Dundee-United-to-Host-Inaugural-Foundation-Day.html#:~:text=27th November 2025,the Dundee United Supporters' Foundation
  14. Europe’s just income, which in turn pays for the bigger squad required to serve the Thursday-Sunday timetable, but as ‘Bambi’ said in the Young Ones’ University Challenge episode, “the rich kids always win”. Midge Ure has never commented on this.
  15. On this day (2 days ago, but naebody’s counting) in 1970, having completed the purchase of around 50% of the Rubber Shop’s Subbuteo stock, I was dragged into the nae-long-opened Norco House on George Street, much to my disgust, and was raking through the LP racks to see if I could afford Free’s Fire and Water, when the in-store tannoy announced that the Dons had beaten Celtic at Parkhead to put us top of the Proper Mannies’ First Division (a Joe Harper heider, although the Co-opy mannie omitted this detail). There then ensued the thrill of a title race that we fucked up by only drawing at Pittodrie with the Deidbastards, St Paisley, Motherwell, and Celtic. The destruction of a third of the Main Stand by fire hindered us a bit too. What a time to be alive.
  16. McGregor may be better advised to look at his own judgement as his managerial appointments have been frequent and poor (results don’t lie), reminiscent of our own most recently deposed chairman.
  17. Banks O Dee GIRFUY Big win for Raith. Maybe a stiffer test than might be imagined in the cup? Doc to get his jotters this weekend?
  18. It said so in the match report in the Herald. Karma karma karma karma karma kar mechanic (John Cooper Clarke).
  19. Just found this. https://www.afc.co.uk/2025/12/08/aberdeen-fc-122nd-annual-general-meeting/
  20. Very sketchy report in the Pish & Jism today, concentrating on The Mannie With The Armitage Shanks Smile and Burrows meeting with Cooncillors Yuill and Allard* on Friday to discuss the issues preventing the Cremola Foam Dome being realised as a joint aspiration. Cormack is apparently encouraging fans to vote in the cooncil elections in May 27 with Pittodrie 2 in mind. I’ll just put my ham-fisted X down for the Workers’ Revolutionary Party as usual. No penguins reported onstage, nor among the biscuit offering with the usually-bowfin post-meeting refreshments. *not to be confused with the Miners’ strike scab bastards Yuill and Dodds
  21. I have washed my hands after sloping over to https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aberdeen-agm-live-dave-cormack-36369957# which is about the only informative source I can find on the 2025 AGM, about which I forgot and missed. The iPhone diary alert system is the Andy Harrow of apps. If the northern outpost of union-shunning DC Thomson is given any sort of look-in, I imagine there will be grudging coverage in the city edition of the morn’s Pish & Jism and the Evening Excretion. No controversy, it seems, other than the penguin kidnapper pictured onstage wearing a collar and tie.
  22. Old warrior dozes off, misses AGM. A boardroom coup to seize power on behalf of the Sooth Stand Socialist Collective will therefore be delayed for another 12 months and, concomitantly, the timescale of the intended free matchday issue of the People’s Skirlie, the unilateral ban on VAR within a hunner km of Pittodrie, and the installation of a mass shower system over the away support section - fed by the Pittodrie urinals - will be affected negatively. Our mission, however, will not be denied, diluted, or thwarted. No faith have we in prince or peer.
  23. No, neither of those, but thanks.
  24. Who was the boy on the Stand Free (?) site years ago who used to welcome new members aboard “the good traaler, Stand Free” by asking introductory questions, the list of which aye included something totally fitba-unrelated. A fine loon.
  25. Having donned the lice repellent-saturated biler suit, and sterilised every last tiny part of me, I had a gander at what the self-appointed podcast gurus and golfers who scratch crude runes into stones at a tumbledown plastic hellhole, are thinking, not two minutes from where the magnificent Dons secured victory this afternoon. The topic, second in the listing, under “Whit’s wrang wi shaggin yer suster, eh?” Was “Goodwin Out?”, a bit of a tumble from the hosannas for their Sir Jim of last season. “Tactically we have been miles off it since he got his new contract. We seem unable to fix the problems that we have and we are gifting goals to the opposition, week in week out. The line up for this game was totally void of any attack. A lot of players are underperforming and we aren't doing the basics right...and that has to fall at the feet of the coaches and manager.” “Does anybody else think that we need to pull the trigger sooner rather than later?” “Get him to f*ck, we are sliding downhill faster than a f*cking Jamaican Bobsleigh team!” “Not posted in a long time but so angry how we are playing. I Agree to many games this season we have seen utd fall behind due to Goodwin tactics. We see so many games where we are poor first half then different second. This falls at the feet of Goodwin. I just don’t see any improvement as things stand. U look at other teams Falkirk, Motherwell and they are on the front foot looking to go forward. We sit back and defend and even at that we are s@@@ at. The amount of goals we have conceded this season is shocking. But it’s all down to Goodwin and how he sets us up. Time for change before it’s too late.” “Along with the other Goodwin and Mathers the goalie coach.” “Honestly just not anywhere close to good enough. He has to go,but he won't. What a depressing time to be a United fan.” “need to calm down. I am fcuking furious. Gonna leave things until tomorrow. (hopefully, just be really angry by then)” “I had to turn it off mate, next door were getting a bit concerned about my mental state” “Not for me, he's deserves a crack at sorting this out in my opinion. I'll admit it's hard to see that happening this season but he deserves a chance.” “I kind of agree that he deserves a crack at it, but nothing recently even suggests that he is trying to fix it! I just don't think we can afford to wait until next season as we will 100% be in the Championship! I think Ogren also has a big part to play in what happens next as we are definitely needing some fresh faces in and some players shown the door in January.” “No, a good bit off that. Knee jerk stuff imo. However we badly need a keeper as Richard's is nowhere near good enough and for now I'd rather go with Kuch, must sort the goalie situation by January” “He persists with this defence week on week. OK Graham is back but the others have not had a clean sheet for months (if at all). Sam CH in right away and bin Kerestes and Iovu. Strain and Ferry the other 2 in a 4. Has to be better than this and its almost the same defence we used at times last season and got clean sheets. We will score goals but we need to be shutting teams out.If Goodwin persists with underperforming defenders over and over when they cant stop leaking goals then I want him out. It's getting to me that he wont play a young Scottish Dundee United fan who has already been tested at this level and played very well.” “Goodwin signed Richards. If he isn't good enough why sign him? Iovu seems to be the other Goodwins scouted Baresi. If he is so good why have previous coaches let him move? Think the Goodwins need to go to Specsavers and also remember we play in Scotland.” “This is definitely a case of decent players but crap Manager. I have zero faith in him.” OH HAPPY FUCKING DAY.
