I thought Spectre was pretty decent. It seemed a bit slow in the middle but livened up when Waltz appeared, and he was excellent. Andrew Scott also very good.
I do like Mendes's nods to the Connery films - clearly there were nods to From Russia With Love and You Only Live Twice in Spectre.
I think the talk has been nipped in the bud.
It's getting boring seeing bands comeback so quickly. Look at Faithless, they've come back and decided to get some of their classics remixed by the likes of Avicii. What a pile of horse shit.
Speaking of horse shit. Agree with rocket re: U2.
Even if Platini is absolved of any blame, he cannot surely be considered as a credible candidate anymore.
FIFA needs to be disbanded and a completely new organisation put in place.
I've finished Martin Fletcher's book about the Bradford fire, really interesting and compelling stuff. Clearly the initial inquiry was far too hasty and narrow in it's scope.
I had no idea Fletcher was also present at Hillsborough. That's mental that he witnessed both!
New "BT Europe" channel due to be announced tomorrow, for all Chumps League and Europa League games, with Lineker joining them (still staying with BBC also). Sounds like it might be a £5 a month for the new channel.
Anyone got any experience with BT TV/Youview?
Moving house in a couple of weeks, we have ditched Sky which was a very pleasurable experience, and have no intention of returning. Looking at BT TV as an alternative - we'll be getting "fibre to the door" in the new house. You don't get as many channels but looks like a decent service and the TV/Broadband/Phone would be half the price I was paying for current Sky + BT phone/broadband.
As an aside, I wonder if Sky's days are numbered, the latest price rise was a joke - upping the family package just to pay for the premiership rights? Surprised more folk are not ditching it.
