If it wasn't next door MBT, it was certainly very close to it Also beside RR's was a record shop where as well as buying vinyl I also used to pick up my Memorex (Is it live or is it Memorex ) or BASF C60 or C90 blank cassettes which were predominantly used for taping the top forty when the new charts were announced on Radio One @ 5pm on Sundays. Think the shop was a branch of Chalmers & Joy

Ah this is my era MBT. Used to love coming into town when I was young and going to The Rubber Shop. Towards the back of the shop and up the stairs if I mind right was where I bought my Subutteo, Scaletrix and model planes. Halcyon care free days indeed in the late 60's early 70's. Once I was a teenager it was more about going to Robert Rae's for Doc Martins, Levis/Wranglers, Harrington Jackets, Denim Jackets etc. There were actually four Robert Rae shop as I mind it. Heading out George St from the city centre, there was two shops next door to one another with separate entrances and another one across the road, close to Grand Central cinema, the one where they used to show the porn films or so I have been told Obviously as has already been highlighted there was also a Robert Rae shop in Marischal Street.
  4. You're just showing off because you have over 200 loyalty points
  5. Got you
  6. It isn't Manc Certainly not in my view
  7. One step forward, about six backwards As you were Robson, invited the pressure back on you with that. Absolutely fucking woeful
  8. Switched off already Every bit as bad as anticipated Question of how many they fancy helping themselves to this afternoon
  9. McGrath presumably presumably suffering the after her effects of the vicious assault he was subjected to by thon Greek thug ?
  10. Unless I am mistaken there has been two locations for Radars, Schoolhill and Belmont St, but then again I left Aberdeen in 1982 to carry out missionary work.
  11. I mind Radars being on the right hand side going up Schoolhill. Sure it was next door to Rickson's Hair Salon back in the day. Was the place you're thinking of further up on the right hand side by any chance or is my memory more pickled than I thought mate, after all we're talking 40 plus years ago
  12. Jack McKenzie MOTM. Outstanding result and thoroughly deserved.
  13. Fuck One each
  14. Fucking hell. Wasn't expecting that
  15. Out Merging duplicate threads on here BT Sport or fitever channel it is on Hopefully watching Huns getting humped Another fighting display but ultimately narrow defeat 2-1 (Miovski)
  16. Not me.
  17. Delightful stuff
  18. SPOILER ALERT The missus was just starting episode two when I came in on Friday evening, even though she has zero interest in fitba. Ended up watching the rest of that episode and the third and fourth ones with her. What a classic example of self importance it proved to be. Almost moved to tears by the extent to which they felt they were unjustly given a hard time by the press for his alleged shagging of Rebecca Loos, an event or events as the case may be, that neither Beckham or Posh seem capable of admitting actually happened. You can bet your bottom dollar it happened, otherwise their would have been libel cases being taken to court. Loved the way it was presented that he single handedly won the title for Real Madrid. Worryingly there are people walking amongst us that are fucking stupid enough to be taken in by it all
  19. Finished 1-0 to the Irish Only managed to catch 10/12 minutes or so. Played on a good old fashioned wet and muddy park, with the lines barely visible because the pitch was muddy. A perfect day for sliding tackles. On the basis of the little bit I saw, I thought the Irish looked the better team.
  20. Bet the lad Lewis Carrol can tell a fair old story
  21. For fuck sake One subject, one thread See what you've created Manc
  22. We'll have a meaningless game (apart from financially) against Frankfurt on the Thursday evening while Der Hun will be away to Real Betis in a game they probably will require to win to qualify
  23. Fuck me Rico That's harsh on Stevie May Bit scary to think that the two of them cost us the guts of a million pounds sterling
  24. I like Ruby. Yes he is prone to the odd brainfart, but he is a wholehearted player snd definitely growing as a player. Whether he will be capable to go to the next level, I'm not sure but if he does I hope it is after a 100 or so games for us and earns us a hefty fee. The model of signing Ramadani, Miovski and Ruby from that part of Europe, developing them further and letting them get their move to the next level up from us can hopefully encourage others we scout from there to make the move to Pittodrie.
