Preece was terrible.

 

We got minced 6 and 7-0 against the Tims ALL the time when he was between the sticks (can't be all the defences fault).

 

Peter Kyaer (or however you spell it) was our last quality keeper.

 

Bit harsh on Preece. I remember him pulling off a number of very good saves in those games. Could have been worse

Unless I'm mistaken the 7-0 at the Tattiebowl resulted in Preece finishing the game with concussion and also getting the MOTM award that day.

Whilst i think some of the criticism directed at Langfield is over the top, I have to admit that i was a big fan of Preece and disappointed that we saw fit to let him go. Don't think there was any doubt that Preece liked being at Pittodrie, after all did he not take a pay cut at one point to stay on

We just didn't show up today - the usual reliable defence let us down today, a rare occurance and a rampant Rangers took full advantage. Lets not go too overboard about todays result.

 

It is more frustrating because it is against THEM but we have to think long term. I'll be happy if we keep grinding out results and keeping hearts off our tails to secure 3rd place.

Pretty pleased by this piece of news tbh, but to be honest I do worry about his apparent lack of fitness at times. The little he has played that i've seen he looks extremely comfortable on the ball and certainly possesses a footballing brain.

Would really like to think that we've yet to see the best of him in a Dons shirt.

It does however start to pose questions as to who is on the way out the door in the summer, particularily with the impending capture of Mair from the Arabs. If someone is going from the back line, hope its Zander rather than Cadger or Hart.

Would be a great signing. Clark at left wing with sevvy and kerr centre mids and smith out on the right wing. Not many better midfields than that.
