Can't imagine it is a "big" name keeper if he isn't even getting a start as a trialist
-
This whole trip to Egypt just keeps getting better and better
-
Yep I'm heading up to Tannalice for this one.
Taking the loon with me so got to drive, maybe just a quick pint afore the game, but certainly a right few to celebrate the three points when I get back down to Ayrshire later
-
Am I being negative in suggesting that perhaps todays opponents are maybe not up to the standard of the previous teams we played in Egypt
Being factual is not neagative
Cheers mate

F/T 5-1

In true Caplocks style I guess that means
A MILLER HAT TRICK
-
Currently 2-1 up
Lost a goal in 6 mins and replied through Smith[20] and Clark [21]

Darrin Young meets up with some of the Aberdeen fans.
Now we know why they signed him to give rides along the beach.
Sorry to be the one to do this to you mate, but it is DEREK we have signed
-
From the dunfermline forum
I thought he had signed for Hamiltoncan't believe he'll do well at aberdeenHa ha haaaa, class!!! This has made my dayHow on earth has he managed to ghost his way in to the Aberdeen squad!Freed by Partick and ends up at Aberdeen ?That's what you call falling on your feet.
Two year deal as well? Must have a photo of Calderwood without a sun tan or something?Quality signing he will get at least 2 goals this seasonFortunately for us, it's Derek not DarrenTo me it speaks volumes......
Yep got to confess to having had a sneaky peek in there as well Mizer. Expected them to be completely and utterly ripping the pish, but actually thought their comments were pretty tame under the circumstances.
-
If I live to be 100 don't think I'll ever understand this one....
Brewster and Young to start up front on 4th Aug
Ah fuck its not even remotely funny.
-
What a great experience going to Egypt has been then .......
Two defeats, two players suspended for opening league game, two players in a car crash, manager admitting it was a waste of time, maybe we should have stayed at home and played someone like Ajax

Fecking hell four red cards
-
Pre-season freindlies and Pre-seaon tournaments are apparantly classed differently regarding suspensions.
So as this is a pre-season tournament, Clark will miss the United game.
Copied from another site, so can't guarantee accuracy of this statement, but seems to be at the back of my mind that this happened to Rooney a couple of years ago
-
Miller is suspended
suspended? How many cards has he received in the competition so far??
2 - one in each match.
2-1 Aberdeen now, with both teams down to 10 men.
And Clark suspended for the league opener I believe
Not been the most successful of pre season tours tbh.
-
Agree with you Big Al.
I'd have suspected to see McNamara myself.
I also have a horrible felling seeing JC's pre season line ups and reading about how fit Special Brew is that we're going to start the new campaign with a 40 yr old as our first pick striker.
-
Why not:
- they fly over on Zoom Airlines £200 Return.
- the CSA hook up matches V the men's national team.
- they play a friendlies against Toronto FC, Montreal Impact, & Vancouver Whitecaps
- Money can be sourced through the Canadian Soccer Marketing & Development Group
Add a team or 2 from England, Italy and Central America and this could be a sweet tournament,
I take your point Drewsome and I'm with you on it, but I guess the point I'm making is that AFC don't demonstrate inituative like this. Still can't believe that as a club we see playing Highland League clubs and lower Scottish League Clubs as a better pre season option than playing the likes of Ajax or Barca. On that point, what exactly are the club doing to generate interest in the supporters pre season..... not exactly inundated with glamerous games at Pittodrie are we
- they fly over on Zoom Airlines £200 Return.
-
That settles it - Next year's preseason needs to be North American!
H'min this is Aberdeen we're speaking about..... we don't do things like that, unless of course you know someone out there prepared to underwrite the costs and pay us shit loads of cash for coming out there

Mackie has a leg strain and wont be playing.
1 Langfield
2 Hart
3 Foster
4 Nicholson
5 Mair
6 Considine
7 de Visscher
8 Clark
9 Lovell
10 Brewster
11 J Smith
Subs 20 Kelly, 12 Touzani, 14 Maguire, 15 Diamond, 16 Heuvel
reading that i'd suggest that JC is stil spinning the tombola to try and stumble upon a team and formation.
-
FFS a U Turn across five lanes of oncoming traffic
Lucky nae injuries there
-
take it the Lee Richardson refered to is our very own Rico
fecking great midfielder in his time at Pittodrie
-
Full odds from William Hills
7/2 McPherson - St Mirren
9/2 " insert name" - Hearts
5/1 Christie - ICT
5/1 Collins - Hibs
10/1 Jeffries - Killie & Irons - Gretna
12/1 McGhee - Motherwell
16/1 Levein - D. Utd
20/1 Hughes - Falkirk, Strachan - Celtic, Smith - Huns
25/1 Calderwood - AFC.
-
See Gretna are desperately seeking a new keeper.
But why would they need one of those?! I thought they'd signed Malkowski.......
Guess I rest my case then
-
How can Gus McPherson be on the same level as any Hearts manager? If you fancy a flutter, I would bet on John Collins being the first one to leave/get the dunt. He has done a lot of sellin' and not much buyin'. It doesn't take much for anyone to upset the Hibs dressing room...
Thought exactly the same myself about Gus McPherson as I thought that the St Midden board and supporters were pretty happy with what he has done there. Collins from memory is at something like 10/1
