  1. Can't really disagree with any of previous comments on this post. Far from convinced he would have made it at the good ship AFC. Wish the boy no ill though, and admire him for plying his trade for a year as an amateur. Good luck stateside
  2. Well an agent's hardly gonna say "No-one wants my client" are they? My point was one of surprise that he would expect folk to believe his client was good enough for the Premiership
  3. See his agent is today making noises about a couple of Premiership clubs apparently being interested
  4. Christ I'd love that ticket, but going to be in Prague for the weekend, so will need to make do with finding a suitable pub to watch it in
  5. Where about are you hiding out these days then Hope the warped sense of humour hasn't mellowed any in the months you've been away
  6. I guess it also serves to highlight just how rank rotten we've been against the Brothers Grim this season. Disappointing particularily after last season going undefeated against the Huns.
  7. Don't take it so hard mate, just an observation that your two posts to date had both been critical of this site, and fired up my curiuosity as to who you really were. You ARE welcome
  8. Mmmm interesting post. Total of two posts, both praising AFC Hat, and knocking DonsTalk. I wonder
  9. Two things about Stewart. Firstly he seems to have had problems virtually everywhere he has been, Notts Forrest, Heart, Hibs, and secondly we certainly can't compete in wage demands for him. I believe Sunderland are favourites to sign him
  10. It would appear that he's right you know. Indeed. Maybe I should listen to him more often. Been south of the border for a couple of days. Has this actually been confirmed as of yet, or is it merely a case of folk putting 2+2 together because he worked under Tommy Craig at Newcastle ?
  11. Tom Jones I mean ffs we signed this guy at a time when we were still in the top two in Scottish football and for the older ones amongst us I give you WALKER MCCALL
  12. Article from tonights E.E. Dutch striker Dyron Daal could still win a professional contract at Pittodrie, writes Andrew Moir. The towering hitman, who joined Aberdeen on amateur forms last August, has been farmed out to Dundee on loan after failing to break into the Dons first team. He has scored three goals in three games for the Dark Blues and Jimmy Calderwood has refused to rule out handing Daal, 23, a proper deal. "We have had people watching Dyron in action for Dundee," said Calderwood. "We received a good report on his first match there but his second game was more favourable. "Dyron has been scoring goals so you can't ask for more than that. "We'll keep monitoring his progress and there's still a chance he could do something at Aberdeen. "At least he's getting games at a higher level than the reserve league. "Dyron has scored three goals in three games so he must be doing something right."
  13. Apparently both could be back in the squad for Hibs game on 21st April. Personally speaking I wouldn't rush Smith back, as wouldn't rull out the possibility of it all flaring up yet again. Assuming we take no less than seven points from our next three games Europe could be sewn up, and then allow Smith to rest and get full pre season under his belt.
  14. Eh? Brewster has hardly been an injury prone player throughout his career. He got a dislocated shoulder here and said it was the worst injury of his career, so I don't really see him like Scotty Booth. That role goes to Jamie Smith or Lovell with their glass groins. I think he does a good job, holds the ball up well, brings other players into the game and has plenty to offer us next season. As mentioned he's also a good role model and can help with coaching etc too. A win win situation in my eyes. I'll see your Jamie Smith or Steve Lovell, and raise you a Karim Touzani
  15. To be honest with Rae in particular his next move has Championship side written all over it. Not good enough for Premiership, getting on in terms of playing career, and probably looking to bank a few quid over the next three/four years. I reckon someone like Sheff Wed is as good as he's going to get
  16. Reported in the papers this morning that JC is offering Brewster an extension to his playing contract at Pittodrie. There are mixed feelings amongst the Dons support as to his performances to date, so this is bound to stir up some debate amongst us. Personally provided the wage we are to pay him remains at a reasonably sensible level and is not to the detriment of any potential "kitty" for summer signings I'm reasonably ok with it. Without doubt Brewster is a model pro, and surely some of this must rub off on the younger squad members.
  17. Nope Drewsome, Foster is suspended.....
  18. Presume you mean the squads Expect ours to be along the normal lines less Fossy Bear, Hart, J Smith, Barry Nic, and someone called Touzani
  19. Yep I've gone for Hart as well, been outstanding all season, but seens to do it in an almost an un noticed sort of way, if you understand what I mean. anderson has also had a good season, but to be honest as others have said its almost what you've come to expect from him.

    Introductions

Ah our pet Hun returns...... Welcome back Wiggy
  21. Presume thats him til pre season then
  22. If the guy with his finger in the dyke pulls it out and you don't run then you're gonna get your shoes wet. Like the man said, or in laymans terms, Kerr said if McDonald is offski, then he's thinking about bailing out as well
  23. Well so be it then, as others have said not going to shed any tears over this one, decent enough squad player, but trust we can bring in someone of greater ability that actually wants to be here.
  24. Pressley and Weir are already too old but that doesn't stop them getting picked ahead of Russell. Russell needs to sign for the Old Firm to get a game. Simple as that. Sad but true unfortunately mate
  25. Sat in the lower south stand on Sat, just laong from Anderson and the others not included in the squad for the game. To say he didn't look a happy camper is a gross understatement. Hate to say it, but can see one of two things happening here, either Anderson tells McLeish not to include him anymore or alternatively Anderson decides that the time is right for a move, as it appears the only way he is going to actually reach double figures for Scotland caps.
