  1. Citylink bus to the 2000 scottish cup final

Biggest priks I have ever had to suffer. Even the Hun who pulled a knife on me on king Street was better than these twats. Was very chuffed to see about 6 of them with various head injuries, black eyes etc on the return journey having apprently been beaten up by the cops. Those of us without injuries were labelled as cunts because we never 'got stuck in'.

Have met various other 'unfriendly' types at various away games (some from this website) in the last few years but im not exactly the most popular person on the planet and id rather not speak to them either so its a fair arrangement.

  2. Id say the best advice he should give sone is 'dont be a twat and start claiming aged 30 that you havent yet reached yer potential, and then go on to alienate yourself so much at another club that you recieve more abuse from your own fans than the away supporters.

Also be realistic in your own potential so you dont look really stupid when you end up playing lower league english football

The Scottish Premier League is to launch an "urgent and serious inquiry" into the postponement of Kilmarnock's match with Aberdeen on Saturday.

The Rugby Park surface failed a 1000GMT pitch inspection, which was called on Friday afternoon.

It remains unclear if the problem at Kilmarnock was caused by a frozen or waterlogged pitch or if there were issues with the undersoil heating.

All SPL clubs are required to have working undersoil heating, but a problem at Rugby Park led to the postponement of Saturday's match.

"We're obviously extremely disappointed that the pitch isn't fit for purpose," said an SPL spokesman.

"We have rules in place with regards to clubs having undersoil heating to deal with weather like this and there will be an urgent and serious inquiry as to why the undersoil heating didn't do its job."

If Kilmarnock are found to be in breach of SPL rules, they could face sanctions, which include the possibility of a fine.

Aberdeen, whose players and fans faced a four-hour journey to get to the game, were unhappy with the timing of the inspection.

"We need to have a balance in terms of giving the game the best chance to go ahead and making a call as early as possible," the SPL spokesman added.

"The time for the pitch inspection was agreed yesterday."

throw us a few scraps to ease the backlash

spend a few weeks sitting about doin nothing

then sweep this whole thing under the carpet

Did Partick actually get done last season when they had a game called off because the rugby team 'forgot' to switch on the undersoil heating on the friday?

  4. Do you really want teams like Hearts to go bust so we would play the likes of Falkirk, Motherwell, Kille etc every week.

Dont know about you but I go to games to watch aberdeen

I dont expecially care who the opposition are.

Id like hearts to go bust to show how disillusioned people were after vlad took over

Same as i wanted dundee to go bust when the bonneti brothers and di stefano were involved.

Just a pity hearts are taking a bit longer

  5. watching the highlights over and over cost me a fortune in internet cafe's but the live match commentary was still quite ropey. Half the games I tried to listen to just kept cutting out. think they had just managed to get it right as I was coming back to the Uk and I cancelled my Subscription a few weeks later (economy drive)

That was before they started live tv coverage though so i cant comment on the quality of that function

  6. Finished Macbrides latest 'Flesh House' last week and beginning to see Bazig's point of view

It was OK and I do like the fact I know most of the places he mentions in his books but it just didnt flow. it also reminded me of the style of story writing that i was coming up with in Standard grade english, but Ill probably read his next one anyway (so long as I only pay £5max). Felt a bit cheated at the end too and I reckon he was 'encouraged' to change it.

  7. I don't see the point of your story

you ended up in the fair play stand ???

also with "modern" turnstile technology I'm still at a loss to understand how united let too many folk into the shed that day

The so called modern technology was each turnstile operator had one of those counter things that bouncers use to keep tabs on the number of people they let in. They just handed out raffle tickets and clicked as you handed over yer cash. If they had perhaps organised it a bit they could have told them to close up their turnstiles when they reached 500 clicks

Point of my story was that every stood in a big fuck off queue for ages instead of simply walking to the turnstiles as usual. I seriously doubt every single person in that queue wanted into the shed.

Then after the game people came on here and bitched about missing the start because they were stuck in a big queue?!

  8. Remember the last time this happened

Me and a mate left the pub earlyish and stood by the entrance to the carpark watchign the queue get bigger and bigger.

They then opened every turnstile fo the shed, fairplay and jerry kerr and yet NO ONE left the queue so me, my mate and about 20 others just casally wandered in and got the best seats on offer in the fairplay.

The queue had practically reached clepington road by this point but everyone seemed to assume that it was 'organised'. Either that or 4000 people all wanted in the shed. Of course this led to about 2500 people being packed into the 2000 capacity shed whilst there were plenty of empty seats to be had in the other stands.

Just like Martin Freeman said - 'Im british...I know how to queue!'

  9. Bizarre season so far

We've been shocking and yet we are only 2 points off Kilmarnock who have apparenlty been having a great season so far????

we also have the best 'Away' defensive record.

  10. Did the Glasgow one last year and intending to do it again this year. Woudnt prefer to do that aberdeen one what with the lap of pittodrie but shall just have to make do with running the glasgow waterfront with Liz McColgan and kenny Dalgleish again.

Santa suit doesnt hold up to well though. id almost destroyed mine the week before at the motherwell match and by the time id finished the run the trouser and jacket seems had disintigrated so the only thing holding it together was the number pinned to my chest.

Central glasgow is cold enought but I cant say id fancy aberdeen beachfront at the end of november.

  11. Close to finishing Quintine jardine's latest - Aftershock

As usual after a slow start and middle its getting good towards the end.

Jardin is  ok but I dont find his main character Bob Skinner as compelling as Rebus.

Probably because hes an ACC and everyone loves him as opposed to rebus the Drunken DI who gets the job done his own way and usually against his superiors wishes.

Disappointed that Rankin wont be writing any more Rebus books. Have read them all and his other books just dont 'have it'

Soon as ive finished this one its back to searching out a cheap copy of 'Flesh House' (Macbride) or maybe even Brookmyre's latest ' A snowball in hell'

Recently read a couple of James Patterson's too. Nice and easy

  12. Lovell Hat trick more like

But ya never know he could injure himself in training.

But then again Falkirk probably train on nice flat grassy surfaces whereas it would appear the dons train on the the film locations for watership down and saving private ryan

  13. A few weeks back when we beat motherwell some muppet called up Traynor bitching and moaning about how the football on offer was appauling and he'd rather the dons played well and lost rather than playing shit and winning.

Well I hope hes a happy bunny
