I hope to fuck this doesn't unsettle the whole team. Personally I'd rather have Aluko than McGhee, and I'll know I'll get pelters for that statement.
Imagine the furore had it been the former manager who had blocked Aluko's participation...

If there are not any links floating about for watching tonight's game then I'd appreciate it if they weren't sent to me by PM. Cheers.
Likewise.

Who's doubtful then? Hope its not Gordon.
I assume he is going to play two keepers.
-
I didn't really need to know we just missed out on a Nigerian international!
-
I'm just worried that the midfielder was Charlie Miller!
Not sure if you're fishing but Miller is playing in Australia now so it wouldn't have been him. Thank fuck.
-
He seems to be having a minor meltdown in this interview....

Then The Flaming Lips and the Gypsy Queens and Kings.

That was my fault Sharpie. I didn't see the previous post and so my one got merged into this one.
Not at all. I thought I was going mental.

I'm sure that headline said strikers earlier...

EE in ridiculous headline that doesn't resemble story shocker...

I find that Christian Nade makes me laugh everytime I see him.

Another left back?

Having read the rumour, why can't it be posted in this thread?
Fill yer boots.

Look on AFC chat it is there.
Furry boots? Nothing juicy in the Jim Leighton thread.

Apparently we have a Ghanaian international right back on trial by the name of Chris Gyan. He played for Wrexham for a couple of games before being released.

Actually, reading through his 'Tweets' it says the club didn't have enough sheckles to take him on. It's grim up north.

We could really do with signing Ricketts as well, I hope that deal isn't dead.
He's in Toronto and he has a Hull shirt for his brother in the middle of a thunder storm.

I'm reading that Lopez has been told to 'do one'. Next.

To be fair, I reckon there is a difference is class between Dinamo and Sigma. Also can't help thinking that the distraction of a UEFA cup campaign for Hearts might have hindered their league form. Still, at least they won't get the money from it. Fuck them.
Aye, Dinamo showed a lot of quality. Celtic and Rangers would have struggled to handle them.

Seriously, though. Anderson was a lot better than Dobbin. For all his honesty and commitment, Dobbin had the turning speed of yer average Maersk container ship. He gave his all to the Aberdeen jersey. But let's face it ... his all vs Anderson's all is no contest really.
I'm not sure I would say 'no contest'. I think Anderson was a decent defender but when he cames up against the likes of Viduka and Hartson he struggled badly. Irvine lacked culture, for sure, but he was a dogged no nonsense defender who forwards didn't enjoy playing against. Irvine basically replaced Willie Miller, the most thankless task in football. Irvine also won more caps for Scotland at a time when, arguably, there were better Scottish defenders around. You could counter argue that Anderson's lack of caps has more to do with shocking team selection. My main point I am trying to make is that I wouldn't say that it is not contest between Irvine and Anderson. In fact I think that would be a decent pairing at centre half, much more accomplished than Diamond and Considine, though those two have some time to sort out their game. Here's hoping Ifil actually turns out to be decent.

Game over. Well done Burnley, their grit deserved that win. I agree BB, they need to get some creative quality in.

Burnley 1 up against Man u
Carrick has missed a penalty as well. Man U have been bereft of ideas.
-
Thats not going to happen as there are too many poorer sides in the league than us.
I'm sure that is what most people were saying when things started to go awry under Willie Miller all those years back...

They didn't show enough energy or bite as a unit. That's down to motivation rather than formation IMHO.
