    Coronavirus

When Nicola said she was concerned about ‘minks’ spreading the virus, I thought to myself, at last, she’s going to clamp down on the Glasgow area. Turns out it was actual minks in Denmark she was banging on about.
  2. Huns 8 Hamilton 0. Scottish football turning into a totally rigged shambles once again, despite the previous huns being liquidated. A fix from start to finish.
  3. Yes apparently Lewis never made a save tonight. So credit to our defending. We killed the game stone dead then shut up shop very well. It was more Hibs being above us before the game. Not sure how they managed that with their average team.
  4. 2-0 is a good result so I won’t complain too much. Jack Ross admitted Hibs were crap. They were also poor when we played them at Easter Road.
  5. Watched Hibs against Hearts last week, and 45 minutes tonight. Not sure how they are so high up the table with so many points. They’re terrible.
  6. Yes agreed, I said weeks ago a new deal for Wright should be our top priority.
  7. Missed the first half but we look on easy street in the 2nd.
  8. The game was effectively over after 23 minutes. So we competed for 10 or 15 minutes of a 90 minute game. Not anywhere near good enough. We did draw 3-3 against them the week before so really there is no explanation for the above other than the players and or the manager once again freezing on the big occasion. We have used the excuse in the past that the game taking place in Glasgow gives Celtic a big advantage because they'd have the bulk of the stadium. No such excuse available this time. We simply weren't good enough and produced an insipid and meek performance, summed up by Hedges refusing to shoot when presented with a golden opportunity because he can only use his left foot.
  9. Agreed. It makes it all the worse as the opening goal was scored by Christie who played with us for ages. He got the freedom of Hampden to line up his shot. He finished it well but that's not the point. Everything they did well went through Christie. Neutralising him would have been key. The manager should spot that because he managed the player before. Yes McInnes treats the two Glasgow teams like it's Barcelona and Real Madrid we are facing. Probably because he still has the mindset from his playing days at Ibrox. It's difficult to accept.
  10. We can say we never played badly but Sparta Prague, with half their team missing, put 4 goals past them. So I think we did indeed play badly in the context of the form Celtic are in. We never even tested them in defence, the Hedges chance notwithstanding. I think that chance summed up our team's approach in games with Celtic. Zero belief. Their defence is a complete shambles yet we hardly created a chance against them.
  11. Given Celtic got taken apart, again, last night, it makes our performance against them on Sunday all the more abysmal. Any half decent team can beat them. We seem to be scared or even terrified of them. That's on the manager. So we need to beat Hibs tonight with a convincing performance.
  12. Agree he's a brilliant player. He strikes the ball like few others can do. His two free kicks against England were the peak of his career. I'm not sure what's happened since then, he is going steadily backwards instead of progressing. He is definitely capable of playing at a higher level in terms of footballing ability. But his head is up his arse for whatever reason. I'm not sure he's what this tight group of players need right now. Clarke has been clever and told him he's sub already, which is the correct thing to do. All will be forgiven if he comes on in Serbia and scores the winning goal.
  13. McKenna just scores for Nottingham Forest.
  14. Hayes is a massive loss, he's been brilliant recently and leads by example. Cosgrove does not look anywhere near fit. A few more weeks on the bench for him. Should never have started the cup game.
  15. The only disappointment for me is Griffiths being included. He's such a clown that he's bound to undermine the squad spirit that's been built up recently with some off field crap.
  16. Hedges never uses his right foot. Criminal to try and turn on to his left for his early chance. If he scores that it would have been a different game. He blew it.
  17. Good attacking team. Hayes is a sore loss aye.
  18. Need to turn the screw now.
  19. Should have taken Wright on instead of McLennan.
  20. Celtic are very poor at the moment. There for the taking by any decent standard opponents.
  21. Call it overly optimistic, but I’m looking for us to beat them twice in a week.
  22. I'd go with basically the same starting line up as against Hamilton, but one change, McRorie back in for McGeouch. But Edmondson will likely make way for another midfield player. Wright must start the game, he's our most creative player.
  23. Na, can't see him getting 100. Maybe if he'd not left for Korea when at his peak a few years ago, to play hardly any football.
  24. Celtic are pretty weak just now. Their best players seem to have downed tools almost. I'd imagine a few of them are desperate to leave. Plus they will have no fans polluting the South Stand. We should be looking for at least a draw. We are playing well enough to beat them. But only with our best players available. The quality drops off a cliff on the bench for us. We should above all stick to the formation of the last two games, and one that has served us well this season. If we go all defensive, we will get what we deserve for doing that, beaten, as we've seen a number of times in the last few seasons. Taylor is the big worry. He can hardly defend.
