  1. Okay, so as silly season starts, just had a text to say that Scott Wright will be going to Partick Thistle on loan and it will announced next week, if not Friday. And in the same text, we have apparently approached a guy called Danny Philliskirk & Tony Watt won't be coming, St Johnstone his destination allegedly. Would take this with a huge pinch of salt, as Gordon has been a hit and a miss with his information. I'm pretty sure McInnes likes to get his holiday out of the way and work quietly behind the scenes.

  3. I anticipate we will be subjected to a few transfer offers ourselves, I think someone will test our resolve for both Scott McKenna & Joe Lewis. Middlesbrough showing strong interest in McKenna allegedly & I think a good Championship club will come in for Lewis. Still adamant we should play Shinnie LB & that sorts our entire defence out! Logan Devlin McKenna Shinnie There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. Try get Mulumbu from Killie, McGeough from Hibs & have Tansey ( I know ) as back up. Those two ( Mulumbu & McGeough ) would be good improvements & not outwith our wage budget. Lewis Logan Devlin McKenna Shinnie McGeough Mulumbu McGinn New Addition GMS New Addition/Cosgrove/May ( I think Rooney will be looking for a move )
  4. I would take him personally, yes. Clearly improved when played in his correct position. But recently on record as saying he was really unhappy at lack of game time, and given that I would agree with you with him being a squad player, he'd unlikely sign on permanently. I'm actually excited about this window, last summer I was more morbid due to the players that left, Hayes, McGinn & Jack etc... were always going to be really difficult to replace, just ask Adam Rooney, the player who has suffered the most! So we don't have that expectation this summer in terms of who we are replacing ( Kenny McLean aside ) & McInnes seems to have acknowledged he's not been clever enough in the transfer market. Could be a very exciting summer.
  5. Couldn't be more happy to have egg on my face. Well done lads. Oh, and a special mention to Anthony O'Connor, goal saving blocks and defended superbly. Shame he turned out to be a prick regarding the supporters, but would have been happy for him to stick around as a member of the squad.
  6. Also, no secret we need sitting midfielders, Mulumbu at Killie would be a good addition for the next season & note that Steve Clarke said this.... Clarke said. "I know he's loved his time up here in Scotland and he's been very important for us. "But if a bigger offer was to come along and Youssouf thought it was a better offer then I'd expect him to move on. Now, maybe I am reading too much into that, but I could have sworn Clarke said months ago that Mulumbu would be going back to England, that to me seems like there's maybe been contact from a Scottish club, I'd hope if it was, then we would also ask that question.
  7. I reckon Crawford would be a good squad addition, not an automatic 1st choice, just part of the squad. But with Devlin & Ferguson here now, it would be odd to think our squad will have been added to with 3 Accies players. Therefore I doubt we will go for him. On another note, I see a lot of chat on Social Media that Middlesbrough are are very keen on McKenna. Depends on how serious they are and what they'd be prepared to offer, but that wouldn't be a horrendous move for him should they meet our asking price and he wanted to go. Hope it's not true though, as would love him to stick around for another season or 2.
  8. Sorry Lencarl, whilst I admire your optimism, I reckon we will see the customary 3/4-0 scoreline. It's their final game of their league winning season, in front of their own fans, add to that the inept performances we've put in already vs them this season, it all points towards a comfortable defeat. The best we can hope for is a Hearts win tonight, and then Hibs to beat Sevco in the last game, that would guarantee us 2nd I believe. A Hearts win tonight would guarantee us Europe. I'm a sulky bastard this morning, still disappointed after that 2nd half last night, a Hearts win tonight would fair cheer me up though.
  9. Saw it coming a mile away. How the fuck Christie stayed on is beyond me. We have a number of pretty decent players, yet I feel the manager doesn't get the best out of them. To finish 2nd we will need something from Celtic, and the bottom line is, we won't get anything from Celtic. To finish 4th would be an abject failure, don't care how anyone dresses it up. Damage was done vs Hibs anyway, that was another limp performance. Hard to take positives despite the fact we've won 2 and drew 2, I am just bitterly disappointed.
  10. Just realised it'll be Kenny McLean's last game at Pittodrie for us tonight ( And probably a good few more ) But I think he's been a mixed bag, he never really lived up to his promise in my opinion, whilst still managing to be a key player for us I think he'll be extremely difficult to replace ( Sorry DD ) Would love it if he capped it off by scoring the winner tonight. Aberdeen 3 vs Sevco 2 ( McLean x2, Logan )
  11. As expected, Anthony O'Connor will not be renewing his contract. From BBC ( I Know, I Know ) Dons manager Derek McInnes confirmed that Anthony O'Connor is likely to move on under freedom of contract at the end of the season.
  12. Fucking hell I need to go back to School, I thought we were 4 points ahead of Hibs, and 3 ahead of Rangers, I am just off my 5th night shift in a row, tonight being my last, so I'll use that an excuse.
  13. Win and we are guaranteed 2nd. Win, and we stake our claim as the 2nd best team in the Country again, in a much stronger league. All the motivation is there and at least the manager has came out and acknowledged his disappointment with results vs them and Celtic ( Albeit much of his own doing ) but at least he's came out and said it. Absolutely massive game and only a win will do.
  14. Absolutely gash. Another inept, limp performance when it really matters. Had literally no idea what to do when it came to the final third. Just quite honestly a pile of pish.
  15. And confirmation that he's signed he's a pre-contract, welcome aboard Lewis, in all honesty, never seen him play, but a lot of promise about him apparently.
  16. Hamilton midfielder Lewis Ferguson is on the verge of agreeing a move away from the club. The 18-year-old, who is a product of the club's youth academy, is out of contract in the summer and has been in negotiations with several suitors. "I think there will be an announcement later this afternoon," his father Derek Ferguson, the former Rangers and Hearts midfielder, told BBC Sportsound.
  17. This came as a surprise to me, but we are actually the form league team in the SPFL at the moment in the last 6 games, 5 wins and a defeat. Scored 11 and conceded 3, massing 15 points. Hibs are 2nd, having won 4 and drew 2, scoring 14 and conceding 7, massing 14 points. I honestly believe a win today will guarantee us 2nd, not that we can take our foot of the gas. I don't think we will blow them away like the 4-1 game, I reckon it'll be pretty tight with a single goal separating us after 90 minutes. It's an odd feeling this, as we usually have 2nd wrapped up by now ( I think ) so it'll be interesting to see how the players cope and react, we have won big games before, but we've also faltered badly, so it's going to be an intriguing afternoon. I snuck away from work last night and slept til 4.30am this morning to stay up for this game, nobody even noticed  and I am working again tonight, so going to be interesting to see how I cope and react myself. Hibs fans are rather confident of turning us over, not quietly confident, they firmly believe they're winning today, labelling us big game bottlers etc... And as I alluded too above, I suppose we have been, but today is the day we shut them, and one or two others, up. COYR!
  18. Happy ( On Netflix ) Definitely worth watching, don't let the Unicorn put you off
  19. As much as I have advocated for Shinnie to play LB, on this occasion, due to McLean being suspended, i'd fire Shinnie straight back into midfield. Either give Harvie a chance at LB or put in Considine, he is experienced I suppose. I honestly believe a win vs Hibs will secure us 2nd. I think the tribute act will lose another 2 at least ( One vs Ourselves ) and I reckon the Edinburgh derby will be a draw. Imperative we remain as focused as ever.
  20. Enjoyable watch that. Have to say, I thought McGinn was pretty poor to be honest, May had a few nice link ups but nothing else, them two aside, I thought they were all excellent. Sam Cosgrove really rattled their centre backs and it showed, they really did not like playing against him, he might be a secret weapon in this run in, and not May as McInnes alluded too earlier in the season. GMS was confident, and when he's confident, he's more than capable of that, great team goal, started of by Cosgrove getting to a loose ball before anyone else, excellent pass by McLean and a strikers finish from GMS, lovely effort into the far corner. Loved when McKenna ragdolled that Euan Henderson, wee fanny, after he elbowed him, and it was clearly deliberate, and not a single Hearts player even thought about having a go, they all just stayed away The most negative team in the division, and for me, Levein genuinely plays for clean sheets, if they nick a goal it's a bonus, but the man is a dinosaur. Fair play, they are solid defensively, but they play a back 5, so it's to be expected.
  21. RIP Phoenixx Never had the pleasure of meeting him personally, but you knew from here and other forums the man was a gentleman and very well liked & thought of everyone the same. Thoughts with his family.
  22. I see Martin Canning has confirmed that Ali Crawford is leaving Accies at the end of the season. Hibs the paper talk destination. With Christie's loan finishing, McLean away, Stewart unlikely to be signed permanently, I reckon we could do worse than at least ask Crawford the question. Get him on a few years contract and add him to our squad. Would at least hope we ask him.
  23. Looks to me like a stonewall penalty against GMS Anyway, good 3 points.
  24. MacLean is a perfect fit for a Levein team, that's a signing that makes total sense to me, he's a nuisance and decent aerially, suits Potter and his philosophy to a tee. Prick
