  1. Garlogie & Rico, if he's being cast as Bond purely to pander to the whole diversity thing, then I agree, it would be wrong to cast him purely because of that. But I would hope it was simply because he's probably the best suited actor for the role currently.
  2. I think Connery has been the only Scotsman to portray Bond then, therefore, surely confirming that her problem is purely because he's a black man.
  3. Rumour has it that Idris Elba could be the next James Bond, but I already see Katie Hopkins has started her smug, bizarre rant about how he won't be and can't be etc.. etc... as He's a man of colour and James Bond isn't. I thought Bond was a fictional character, and given that Elba was born and raised in London, I fail to see how this pandering to diversity, as she claims, as he's British at the end of the day. Not only that, there isn't many other British actors I can think off that are suitable, maybe Gerard Butler ( I know, I know ) I guess what I am trying to say is, I don't see why there's a problem with Elba, should he get the part, is it purely because he's Black that she is so against it? Seriously, if anyone can fill me in as to why he'd be such a bad choice due to his skin colour, I'd be delighted to hear it.
  4. Markus Heikkinen was another example of a quality signing from abroad. Thought he was class actually, and if memory serves me right, Calderwood eventually realised this as well but by the time he did, it was too late, Heikkinen had decided to move on. Interesting to note, he still plays! Thought he'd have long retired, but approaching 40 and still playing, although, only played 39 times since 2016.
  5. FFS Rico Even though I thoroughly disagree with your Gleeson assessment as early as it is into his AFC career, you're fairly proving popular for having the audacity to have an opinion. In any case, I will maintain my initial thoughts on him, in that he's doing what he's supposed to do in regards to collecting the ball and keeping it moving, I never saw the tackle he's allegedly shat out of, however, I have now seen more than you saying he did, so must have been something in it. What I will say, is after a couple of games, I have noticed that he lets his man go quite easily, fails to track them all the way into the Box, he did it vs Rangers, watch the throw in they get the penalty from, he let the player go by him and failed to track him and he also done it against Dundee once or twice. I feel he needs to settle, perhaps he's unhappy off the pitch at the moment, completely new environment for him, I stick to my guns though, I feel he'll become a key player eventually, it's still ridiculously early to judge him.
  6. I eventually did look him up, interesting to note that he was told several times he could leave the club but opted to stay and fight for his place ( If his Wiki page is to be believed ) He also plays as a winger and has done since leaving us pretty much.
  7. Enjoyed watching that SeeBass. Mulgrew had some left foot, very few could hit the ball as sweet as he did, shame he jumped ship as soon as they came calling, but to be fair, he played regularly for them. Also, Michael Paton, some of those finishes were terrific, can't really remember if he got a good run of games under his belt or was used mostly from the bench? In any case, his career never took off and I'm too lazy to look him up now to see if he even still plays. Lastly, can't remember Gary McDonald scoring as much as he did, I remember the last minute goal against Raith, that's it
  8. Here's an article, with some comments from his former youth coaches, which is an interesting read ( in my opinion ) Particularly the comments from Warren Joyce. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-transfer-news-wilson-14997241
  9. Certainly on paper, it's an improvement on the likes of Maynard, Parker, Zola etc... and he's had enough experience at good levels. In his last year at Man U, so may want to show them there's still a player in there and that could work very well for us. Welcome to AFC James.
  10. Apologies Ten Caat, No idea what's happened there and how I have managed to miss that. I shall now go with KennyFuckinPowers - 66
  11. Indeed, just read there the Mail's chief football writer, Stephen MacGowan's post that he was in Aberdeen on Sunday having a medical and all going well, will be announced tomorrow. For you Rico, my good man, and the others who may not have heard of him, here is his career stats to date..... 53 Senior Appearances, 10 senior goals. Has played 15 games for Man U, scoring 4 times, his other 6 goals have came at loan clubs Brighton, Sheff Utd & Derby. EDIT TO ADD - Sunderland also linked with him, Jack Ross confirming that he's interested in him and " although nothing is imminent, things change very quickly in Football " Let's see where he ends up.
  12. Preston also signed another Striker, who went straight into their starting 11, might be legs in this after all.
  13. 3 points the only positive out of that. Dundee apparently very wasteful in front of goal, had plenty of clear opportunities. Think May forced Hamilton into one save and young Anderson hit the bar. Still room for improvement, but 2 games and 4 points.
  14. HaHaHaHaHaHa Big Zander, bring him home Deek! EDIT - Jesus, he's 33 now, I mind when he was breaking into the 1st team, he left in 2011 In any case, if there's truth in this rumour, that would probably put to bed the Onouha claim.
  15. She made her way through a lot of the top artists ( depending on your taste obviously ) back then, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Prince etc... she was a rampant whore. Kind of felt for her ex Lindsey Buckingham, although a stroppy cunt, he clearly adored that woman and she heavy fucked him over., I have seen a few documentaries on Fleetwood Mac, being a fan, and trust me, woman's an evil cow, if it's not her way of doing things, then it's no-ones.
  16. I don't believe so either, I think we have went in for numerous targets and for one reason or another, lost out. Part of me knew deep down though, as is looking to be the case, that McInnes would wait for English window to close then make a move for a couple of loans. Wouldn't be surprised to see a loan addition or two today that was probably pre-arranged. The guy that said we are looking at Odouha is the same guy that said last week, maybe 2 weeks ago, that we have offered Gabby Agbonlahor a 1 year contract, given that he's a free, I doubt we'd have waited this long before announcing it, therefore I have my doubts over both. To be fair though, he did call the Tony Watt was always signing for St Johnstone correctly, and he maintains that Scott Wright will be going to Partick on loan, although that would only leave us with 2 wide players.
  17. Watched the interview with McInnes on RedTV there, he has confirmed that Hoban is out for a month. As everyone is aware, McKenna is at the very least a month, likelihood that it's longer, Reynolds is long term & obviously Logan still has 2 games left of his suspension, I reckon we will see Nowak get a 6 month deal or possibly until the end of the season, that's if he hasn't signed elsewhere.
  18. McInnes said on REDTV that Hoban is out for a month! McKenna also at the very least a month, Reynolds long term and still no Logan for the next 2 games. Can't see anything other than a back 4 of Ball Devlin Considine Shinnie.
  19. I have a very similar opinion of Stevie Nicks with literally everything you said about Debbie Harry, which I agree with, she always came across as a bit of a cunt.
  20. Pish, if you've heard of Lionel Messi, you've heard of Nedum Onouah. ( Tongue firmly in cheek, of course )
  21. Lewis Ball Devlin Considine Shinnie Ferguson Gleeson McGinn Forrester GMS Cosgrove Comfortable 2-0 Aberdeen win.
  22. Nedum Onouah is now doing the rounds on Social Media from people claiming to be in the know. Personally believe his wage demands would be well out of our bracket though.
  23. Whilst I agree with the majority of your summary, I can't wrap my head around your take on Gleeson. He misplaced one single pass today, he came looking for the ball, and moved it out wide when he got it, he was doing his job, unfortunately the problem lay when it got out wide, they didn't do much. I can't remember him shirking any tackles and in fact, remember him going in strong on Jack in a 50-50. I think once he's up to full fitness and settled, he'll be a key player. He has very decent pedigree and only in my opinion, will be too good to just fizzle away.
