  1. But do they pull a killie or kick on? Great to see the temporary management bringing stability!
  2. Na, said already, go nisbet and dabbagh and be more direct, which we would do anyway. They don’t know dabbagh so gives them something to think about. 3-0 us, dabbaghx3
  3. You stole my post. He’s had good games but not consistent enough. He’s a true 10 but we stuck him left mid and that’s not his position moving forward. We have gueye Clarkson polvara and McGrath all pretty much competing for a similar position and none are an obvious starter. I also question his mental toughness, the penalty miss seemed to damage him. Losing McGrath is no biggie and the 10 is the position I was hoping we upgrade in the summer anyway. seems a decent lad, good luck to him.
  4. I don’t hate mcinnes at all. He’d love that job but I just don’t think their fans would want him. And I ultimately don’t think he can take them further. He’s a typical Scottish manager. While I say he’d love it, I don’t know if he has the stones to take it, very hard job given the finances and expectation of competing with Celtic.
  5. For once I’d like mcinnes to get the job. He was a good manager for us but predictable and limited. He’d also be a underwhelming signing for their fans and I don’t think they’d fully support him. Would love to see him at the Huns, I just don’t think he’s capable of the next level. Would give us a good run for 2nd……and I say that after reading Celtic got 26 million from champions league. We just can’t compete with that.
  6. Free hit here, with utd hearts hibs and st mirren playing each other, lose to Celtic and its not a disaster. Hoping utd draw or lose. im assuming devlin will be out but shinnie at left back isn’t a disaster if Mackenzie misses too. Eager to see how our defense does here, plus id be inclined to start both nisbet and dabbagh, benching gueye. Be a bit more direct and let’s see what our new star striker can do. heart over head as always, 1-1. Bojan.
  7. Agent Clement finally coming good!
  8. Closing the gap on 2nd. COYR!
  9. Thought Jensen had a good game, didn’t get beaten much 1v1, is being more physical, and consistent/reliable. Didn’t see many errors.
  10. Dare I say we look like early season dons?
  11. Welcome back bojan!!!
  12. Turned into a very stop start ugly scrap. Need to get it down and play.
  13. Shinnie to left back and Jensen back right??
  14. Clarkson and dabbagh asap please, it’s not working. Give them 30 mins to have an impact.
  15. Jensen committed a foul being overly physical. Just wanted to highlight that!
  16. Clarkson and dabbagh for gueye and nisbet please. A little worried about palaversa on a yellow, maybe shinnie too.
  17. Haha, not a bad 2 mins! Lovely finish.
  18. To be fair, we are trying to pass/connect, so potential combos, just not coming off at present.
  19. Meh so far. Very little from okkles topi or gueye which makes it hard to do anything in attack.
  20. Interesting that the top 8 all play each other. A win would be big for us, obviously, especially with going to Celtic on Wednesday. COYR!
  21. Good discussion. When I posted I was not criticizing Shinnie. I’m a big fan and still think he has a lot to offer. Thought he was very good early season and showed he still has it. It just appears that under JT sivert will be preferred, and I think palaversa is starting to have greater influence in games. I rate palaversa, big strong physical mobile and technical. Just think shinnie has become the odd man out, but certainly see shinnie playing regularly and rotating, especially with the age of him and sivert. however, I think a captain has to be one of our best players, and a leader. Starts every game. Certainly hesitant to make sivert captain as he’s old too and will he rotate. I like his leadership and the way he plays, but thought he disappeared for a month or so for whatever reason, that concerns me as a captain can’t do that. RE tobers and palaversa as captains, like them both a lot as players, but do they have leadership qualities? I feel shinnie is a good leader, much by passion and effort/by example, but that’s not the only way to lead.
  22. I think I’m right in saying we drew there but also didn’t concede. Celtic are shit.
  23. Interesting you put clarkson and polvara on the list. Neither have kicked on, for whatever reason, that I do see them as players to move on eventually. I think clarkson is here for at least another season, but polvara has been here a while and we’ve only seen glimpses. Been unfortunate/unlucky. I do expect, much like new signings, we’ll try to shift at least 3 or 4 every window. If we sign a foreigner that’s an impact player, say mitov or tobers, that’s fine with me, but I’d like to see top Scottish talent added. They’ve got to be good enough, like potentially a John mulligan or Liam smith from the other thread, but really don’t want the mcgarry or Ambrose type signings to pad out a squad. It’s not intended but played out that way, really, and for rules consideration too, hope to see some scots added. For that reason alone shinnie and Devlin won’t be going anywhere, but both still have a big part to play for us.
