Great for me, 9pm, 6pm, and 6pm. Impossible to please everyone. To be honest, 9pm and 6pm in Boston shouldn’t be too hot, mid June is not hot hot either there, probably in the 70s which is ok. Miami will certainly be warmer.

Shinnie deserves a place in Aberdeen club history. A trophy winning proud Aberdeen for the jersey guy. Love the way he plays and delighted when he played for Scotland, more than deserved. Gutted when he left and delighted when he came back. At the same time, he’s on the decline and more and more people are holding him in less regard. I did criticize him last week, think he struggles at times now, but he will always be legendary shinnie. funny, I never rated considine and didn’t care for him much at all, but so many/the majority treat him with legendary status. -
This has become a really disappointing thread! So few rumors in recent months/years. The club has done a much better job of keeping signings close to their chest, even though the majority have been shite. Takes the fun out of things! are we being losely linked with anyone at all besides David Watson? so who are the more recent signings on their way out besides yengi??
-
To me it’s all about midfield. Dominate there and the pressure is off the defense and mitov becomes more of a spectator. The majority of our problems stem from midfield. Lack of competitiveness and we get over run, lack of creativity and support in attack produces so few goals.

Didn’t realize Norway were 7th in the world at the time! italia 90 we lost to Costa Rica in the opener, similar situation here, hopefully we put up a better performance. A good start to the tournie will do us wonders. haiti’s keeper plays for aek athens, midfielder at wolves, winger at inter Miami. Looks like their top forward plays in the Persian league but played on loan at st mirren in 2019. Really intrigued by our mindset, qualifying was not great performances, and the last two euros were piss poor. Hopefully we can come out flying! I certainly think I’m in the minority but hoping a midfield of a healthy doak Ferguson mctominnay gilmour and Harvey Barnes do the business. A youthful Gordon in goal, back 4 of hickey Milne McKenna Robertson, and I do think if we have doak and Barnes either shankland or dykes at 9. Maybe Bowie has a killer 6 months and comes into the World Cup as europe’s form striker!

World rankings, Brazil 5, Morocco 11, Scotland 36, Haiti 84. for comparison, teams we’ve played in the last few years, Spain 1, Portugal 6, Croatia 10, Swiss 17, Denmark 21, norway 29
-
Really? I think it will be different players. And in a different continent. It’s been 26 years. im delighted to avoid European teams. Particularly if it’s Italy or Denmark. Not only the strength of the Europeans, but nice to have different styles with this lot. While many of the players play in European, playing these teams will be something different. Particularly if we are physical, maybe that helps us against Haiti and Morocco. How many fans have seen Scotland play these types of teams? I remember Morocco, Brazil, Uruguay, New Zealand, Costa Rica, nice to avoid Europe. of the top teams, I think we had to face Brazil Argentina or a host. USA are a decent team and at home, as are Mexico. Canada are no mugs. Argentina are streets ahead of Brazil. Work with a bunch of Brazilians who can’t stand their national team at present, they aren’t a typically strong Brazil. they have all the pressure and expectation too. Maybe we’re due a result there? morocco could be good, maybe not, who knows about Haiti. I think it’s a decent and exciting draw.
-
So what exactly are we paying for then??
-
I’m good with that draw. Very hard to get an ‘easy’ draw as a third seeded European team. First game is huge, one I’ll try to go to if it’s in Miami which is possible. Work with a bunch of Brazilians who hate their national team at present, says they are pish. But they are still Brazil. Morocco have expectation on them, could be good or not. Plus it’s revenge from 98.
-
Impossible to tell how this goes, and mitov symbolizes the team. Could be good could be piss poor. Results have been good for the most part recently, but I think we’ve been fortunate. At the same time I still think we can click and play well. 2-1 us, karlsson and lazetic
-
I’m assuming VAR is about money and the league gets money to use it? I say that because I don’t see how anyone can argue it has made the game better. I’d argue we now have more debatable goals ,uncertainty on clear and obvious, delays, and the biggie for me, I don’t celebrate goals any more because you now have the ‘stress’ of a possible VAR check. I know decisions go for us and against us, and over time they may well even out, but VAR clearly has not improved the game or the fan experience. As I said, I assume it’s because of money that we have it and are stuck with it.

Didn’t realize we hadn’t made our 5 subs, but the issue was we’d used our three sub ‘windows’ so couldn’t bring in a 5th sub. That rule makes no sense when there’s a legit injury, not like it’s time wasting, and we’re forced to play with ten.
-
Disappointing to see we lost the lead twice, but we did ride our luck with the disallowed goal, looked shaky at the back, and mitov didn’t give us an lot of confidence, but we came back from a goal down, good character. Based on how we are playing, 4 wins and 2 draws out of the last 7 league games is more than we probably deserve. We’re just not very good. Yet 5 off third. What if we actually start playing well? Nice to see lazetic getting a couple of goals, even off the bench, problem is though, and it’s the same for the majority of the midfield/ forwards, it’s hard to get any sort of rhythm/form when you dont always start and we rotate/change everyone around you. Squad rotation is balance, and I dont think we’ve done well with it. harsh to criticize Milne, in any other game he wins/clears the ball and we don’t lose the second goal. Boy has had a great season to date. Same with devlin, could have been better on the goal too. Those two and knoester have certainly been our 3 most consistent players. disappointed to see Aouchiche balloon over the bar at a pretty open goal, he’s been better of late and a goal would have been good for him, and mitov continues to cause concern. Wonder if we are considering a new keeper. I didn’t see it but read polvara could/should have won the ball right before the third goal, as much as he scored and is a popular player, he’s one of a number of mediocre players we have and I’m not worried to lose him to hibs or the likes. We need to sign better. harsh to criticize JT for making 5 subs and we finish the game with 10. We subbed two in the 89th minute to see out the game, just unlucky there.
-
Getting to the point where I have expectation, damnit. We are winning games and they are on a poor run. What if our luck runs out. Or what if we finally click and play well…. I'm now thinking 5-1 us.
-
Didn’t say he was as far as Morris. He’s having no success playing inverted, as did Morris. He has pace, play him on the left and tell him to hit the line. Same with topi. We can only benefit. No clue why we’ve stuck with the inverted pish when we’re so poor in attack.
-
Funny, much like people were drawn to miovski back in the day, I was drawn to devlin, blue collar hard working pro. Bit like a rougvie, simmie, cooper, maybe more recently Andy considine, even a Ross mcccrorie. Much like shinnie, if only we had more Scottish players like them (I suppose non Scots are ok too.) i was very proud of him when he played for Scotland and gutted when he didn’t play in the latter part of last season, a factor in our form and results in my opinion. Worth noting our form has picked up this season when he stayed in the team, not a huge deal and I know we changed formation, but a factor.
-
I was inspired by st mirren highlights I saw earlier from Dec 2021, a 4-1 win where superstars like Ojo, Jet, Watkins, and David bates graced pittodrie. If they can score 4, we can get 3!!
-
I think he means picking the team. How can he surprise and baffle us all with the line up and tactics. Again. topi on the right, milanovic on the left, karlsson at 10 behind lazetic. Aouchiche and polvara at 6 and 8. Alternatively drop karlsson and put Clarkson alongside polvara with Aouchiche at 10. im going to stun you all and predict 3-1 us. 3 goals in one whole game, big early Xmas prezzie coming! lazetic karlsson and Aouchiche/milanovic.
-
I’d compare him a bit to Morris. Shady kept cutting inside when he first played here, even though we all saw he had pace. Pretty sure someone eventually told him to just take the guy on the outside and hit the line every time. Got to the point where he was very successful and got goals and assists. IF we play milanovic on the left, I dont see why we couldn’t have similar. Same potentially with topi on the right. I’ve seen inverted wingers work, but it isn’t for us, would really like to see them on the other side and told to attack on the outside.

I’ve said this before, miovski could not have had it more perfect with us. He was our 9 who would pretty much play as he wanted, got all the penalties, scored early on his dons career, scored a game winner at hampden, and got cult/hero status very quickly. He was loved/adored. We have that type of club, some players truly love it here and you see the connection he had with the fans. Fast forward to now, whether the injury he had is a factor I don’t know, but he’s not a sure or regular starter, very limited playing time, not on penalties, team won’t gel around him, fans/culture is awful/toxic, not winning regularly or doing well, it’s the perfect storm. I also think miovski has a sensitive side and that’s just not the place for him. Perhaps his time with us is similar to cosgrove, it just all clicked for him and he got his big move, then kind of disappears. -
Yup, 3 goals 3 assists this season in the league I think. Seems quite an athletic lad, decent pace, gets up and down the line quite a bit, kinda what I though gyamfi would be.
-
Wonder if we are taking a look at their left back too, can play left back, wing back, and winger. Scored a couple this season and think he’s been decent. Send them cash and frame? Both the left back and masawanhise are still young too so sell on for profit is still a possibility.
-
Yet another painful victory!
-
Kills me to watch a winger NEVER attack the line. He has pace and space!

Goal or not, fuck var. too long.
