Let’s build out the back one down with 10 players. Why not just score the second ourselves. It’s an embarrassing watch at present. exactly the game Celtic needed.

Red tv - ‘Aberdeen were pretty comfortable in the first half and carried a threat at times’ -wtf! other than the first 10 mins, which I didn’t see a lot off, we pretty much took a pasting and Celtic missed chances. Based on the first 90 seconds of the second we’ll get hammered.

There are the Mcinnes type performances that wanted me rid of Mcinnes. Celtic are off form and we have opportunity. We should have shown real appetite and desire. Yet it’s the usual lack of belief, get deeper and deeper, and we’re fortunate to only be one down. Could get ugly second half.

Wins for us and the Huns would be a great way to go into Xmas. 5th place, 3 off third, 6 off second, and only 12 off the lead with a game in hand. we’re going to win the league. Team as expected. Would’ve nice to see Armstrong get the winner, but any scorer, even Jensen, will be acceptable! COYR!!

I think hometowns are obligated to attack a bit more so come out/push up which may suit us and jimmy with counter attacking football. Celtic will certainly do so, and I’d be inclined to start bilalovic and karlsson with lazetic, a good combo of pace and skill.

Can we call it next six games? One added game makes a difference, especially since it’s the Huns twice, away then home 5 days later. We’ve done well to climb into the top 6, but to stay there I’d say we need at least 10 points from this run. As much as we don’t know what to expect from us, same could be said for rangers and Celtic. Not sure if they raise their game vs us as compared to us being poor, but I go back to the first half vs rangers at home last November where we played them off the park. Would love to see that type of performance/approach.

I used to feel that way, but not any more. Other than Aberdeen and Scotland, couldn’t tell you the last time I watch a game that didn’t involve my club or country. Money has killed my enthusiasm. It’s a bunching over paid mercenaries now, no culture or heart in a club any more. I’ve expressed my worry’s about the dons in recent months and the lack of Scottish players for that reason. Milne and lobban are a godsend, hoping Marshall comes through and we sign Watson and another couple of Scots in the near future. Clinging on to shinnie, a diehard don, and a lesser extent devlin, love that type of Scot in our team. Means something to me. I’d even take Gunn in goal, although I’m 50/50 on mitov right now. what was sad this week was I had no interest in our European game. It was even less interesting than a preseason friendly. Didn’t watch and simply checked the score after work. I’ve never done that before where I had so little interest. The format for European football doesn’t inspire me at all, and really I had little interest in our European campaign. Worrying for me! I’ve also said this before. Living here in the states for 30 years, I appreciate the banter here as it keeps me connected with my roots and I really enjoy talking Aberdeen and Scotland. But that’s it, most other football is pretty dull now. Saying all of this, I’m intrigued by the world cup in a way, as we have some more unknown teams, playing Haiti will be different, plus playing Brazil and Morocco will be different and fun. But will I watch other World Cup games, unlikely. Bit off topic for crazy American politics!

Exactly! Go there and have a go. Get in their faces and be aggressive. Dundee utd did it second half. As you say, it’s so rare, but they are vulnerable and the crowd will turn pretty quickly.

I actually think this game could suit us, provided we don’t give them too much respect and sit too deep. They’ll be on the front foot and dictate the game, pushing up allowing a bit of space for a counter. If we still have that. think lazetic karlsson and Armstrong will be big, we need the last two to support the big lion so he’s not isolated. provided we don’t gift a goal or two in minutes 20-30 like we gave a tendency to do with them, I think we’ll be ok. if we can get the first goal, especially if early, I expect a pretty grim environment. 2-2, lazetic karlsson

Wonder if I’d feel differently if we’d advanced, but what a shit format. Not a complaint because we faced 5 of the top 8 teams, but I just find it rather uninteresting. No clue why we had to have 36 teams, if you insist on something different instead of the regular knock out rounds, why not 32 team, 8 groups of 4, play everyone home and away so you get your 6 games, but the games are now likely more meaningful. Top 2 advance to a round of 16. the format of the European tournaments are getting worse and worse. As has been said before, I certainly miss the original 3 tournaments.

I don’t know if I’d say it’s been good for us. It’s been a learning experience during a time we’ve played pretty pish, and realized many of our summer signings are not good enough, plus players like Topi palaversa and clarkson have not kicked on as we’d hoped. Maybe Europe has helped us figure all that out earlier and we approach January a little differently, rather than less games in the autumn, less rotation, and more change would come next summer.

So we played 6 teams and 5 finish in the top 8. Not a great experience but we were not outplayed/beaten by shit teams.

Not quite the influx of change I expected. Expected aouchiche and karlsson rested too, I’ll give them an hour!

It’s a funny old game. We are 8 points off second. Only two teams have won more league games than us. And we’ve been shite for significant time this season. 14 behind hearts with a game in hand, although that’s against the Huns. For how we started, 1 point out of 18, certainly couldn’t have wished for much better. huge January for everyone. Every one of the top teams have had a wobble, can we kick on and find form? We are still a poor squad, not a great window for signings but I certainly hope. Will hearts eventually fall off, and can either of the ugly sisters find form? It’s actually an enjoyable season for the neutrals, obviously a frustrating one for us. would kill for a good performance Sunday, and obviously a win. Home crowd will turn pretty quickly, we must start well and not give them the first goal. it says a lot about this European format that I pretty much much don’t care about tomorrow. Sadly.

Can’t remember where I read it but he said today that we have a lot of good players not playing much at the moment and they’ll be given a chance. I expect a much changed team.

We seem to have a real determination about us. Very proud of this current run. Certainly not pretty but we’re winning games. I also think we’ve got a decent number of players with strong mentalities, specifically shinnie knoester devlin adil Armstrong and lazetic. Add the impressive play and toughness of Milne and lobban to that. While not everyone’s cup of team, I’ll add the swagger of karlsson to that list too. Europe has really not been a great thing, almost getting in the way. January and a notmal schedule will be good. Add 2-3 strong signings (hopefully!) then the second half is really intriguing. Celtic are in crisis, rangers not that much better, and who know what happens with hearts. If everyone beats everyone who knows what the second half of the season brings.

Just watched the highlights, topi wasn’t bad but I think he’s the new Morris, doesn’t last a game and more of a squad player than a certain starter. Really want to see more of bilalovic, he has to get milanovic’s game time and either the latter goes on loan or sold. New winger needs to be bought for sure, especially with karlsson a loaner. Really need a left back/wing back. Jensen, like topi, should be a squad player and not a starter. Gyamfi doesn’t give me huge hope, hasn’t looked overly speedy or athletic, plus like tobers, injury concerns. Shinnie was outstanding, but he can’t do that for 90 mins an has been exposed in recent weeks. still need that legit CM although nice to see adil and aouchiche putting a stamp on their starting places. Just realized Watson wasn’t playing today, not trying to hurt his future club? Is he the missing link in CM or more of an Armstrong/adil replacement IF he were to come north. that’s the three for me this window, left back, winger, and CM. Perhaps a 4th in a forward, a dabbagh type loan too.

I haven’t really seen that but absolutely what we need. He’s certainly improving week to week. Much like lazetic up top, we’re far too nice at times and a balance is needed. Having guys like that is essential to successful teams. I’d really like to see adil, Armstrong, an a legit new signing in center mid. Think the first two being quality but we badly need that missing link.
