Re May - think some are writing him off a bit early, see J Hayes. As mentioned, our build up play is poor, and think he might suit a partner like eg McGinn alongside, but that probably wouldnt suit Dels present caution. Maybe still a bit cautious after his injuries too. If results, crowds worsen, and Dels managerial appeal wanes, then it might force him to take some of the risks he maybe should have taken and be the kick up the arse that saves his skin. Hope he turns it round though...

Sake min, I was looking forward to a day up the West coast

I would say theres a fair chance the game might be off,but if its on,lets stop talking ourselves/McInnes down for the time being...at least til our seasons over next weekend In or Oot - In Furryboots - Mainer throwing snowballs Pre/Post - Driving Prediction - 4 - 1 Dons

I was one of the lucky peasants back in the day, that was up at work at 3 in the morning, before the roads were gritted, clearing snow manually from the car parks of said poovey office workers.Cant recall a day we didnt get in to work. Those were the days (cough)

Cheers min,....you're lookin well ........well, if I knew who you are?

Its been a good year for those of us that like winter walking.Though theres been so much snow, kinda reaching the had enough now stage Wouldnt recommend winter walking without proper eqpt or training, but the below 2 Munros are fairly wide ridged enough for room for error. The only downside being an incursion to Tayside to climb the hills A pair of micro spikes to bite into the snow crust would be a minimum requirement for any potential adventurers. Meall Corranaich 1069m, Meall a Choire Leith 926m Parked at the top Lawers car park along the North shore of Loch Tay.and headed straight up the ridge ahead IMG_3843 by [/url], on Flickr Couldnt find the start of the path because of the snow, but met up with it further along the ridge.Summit of Meall Chorraniach beyond IMG_3852 by , on Flickr A look back at the wide ridge and Loch Tay.Easy walking so far IMG_3863 by , on Flickr Steeper approaching summit IMG_3855 by , on Flickr At the summit. We looked at the route ahead, and wondered where the next Munro was.Worked out it was the round lump just to the left of where the 2 walkers are IMG_3874 by , on Flickr Race on for the scoop of ice cream IMG_3873 (2) by , on Flickr Approaching summit of Meall a Choire Leith.A path leads off just above the dip ,to the road back to the car park to avoid retracing your steps IMG_3896 by , on Flickr

“We want to show what Aberdeen can do when Celtic come calling, regardless if we have won, drawn or lost going into it. To get a result against Celtic shows how well a team is doing and we aim to do that. The Celtic game will be a real test of character." Canna beat a bit of fighting talk Looking forward to a plucky 0 - 6 thrashing at the w/e

If I was Derek,I would be weighing up whether staying another season or 2 is worth the gamble for his next career move.He leaves now, with a very good, consistent CV,or he stays another season in the hope he finds the midfield duo that could,IMO, answer a lot of the problems we have at the moment.Devlin alongside McKenna,Shinnie to L/B,plus a confident, more aggresive midfield duo wouldnt be far off a very good team. The downside to that is,even if he does make the right recruitments, the Hun are on the rise,as well as Hearts and Hibs,so no matter what he does,we may struggle to stay in the top 3 even, and we turn oh him,and his appeal to other clubs diminishes Whatever he decides,he's earned the right not to be hounded out of the job in the near future,eg the next year, given theres a fair chance he'll leave soon of his own accord IMO anyway.

Chins up min,and fair play to you for coming to the games from that distance, but I'd rather be going to a full house at Hibs away, than Killie,Hamilton,Ross Co etc.In fact, gies your ticket and I'll spare you the harrowing ordeal
-
A bit of a meh appointment tbh,but cant blame McLeish for taking the job,and its tough for me to bad mouth him having watched him since he broke into the team circa '78. Nevertheless.I would hope after walking away last time,he was told something along the lines of you can be sacked at any moment for being shite,or pissed, without compensation.....or financially thrashed for walking away while under contract. Apart fae that, hope he does well...

May available for this one at last. Were scoring plenty goals as it is,but you get the feeling May alongside McGinn Christie and GMS ,would be more on the same wavelength.Them in full flow is a tasty prospect Good to see a full house for this, should be good,COYR

Not sure what happened to Killies away crowds as they got some very decent turnouts back in the day.First memory was a 4 - 1 win for us at Pittodrie,81/82. Filled a fair amount of the Merkland end IIRC.Bit of aggro during the game too if I remember.Huge crowds home and away during the Tommy Burns era too. Building that larger than necessary stadium hasnt done them any favours.Who wants to watch fitba in a 1/4 full stadium.Feel a bit sorry for them, but they'd be one of the first clubs i'd be happy to see go down. Should be a good, tough game in the cup though.Looking forward to it

Success to me is an era of being the best side in your competitions, though thats probably been concluded because I was brought up in the glory days. But,if youve been brought up anytime after the WM era when Celtic and Rangers have been mostly uncatchable, success probably now means a time when we got the most out of the resources at our disposal compared to other recent eras, and this era is as close as weve got to that in the last 20 years,(though we can argue we could get more out of what weve got.) Personally i'm not unhappy with the comparatively successful era we're in,am enjoying going to Pittodrie, and the standard of player we're watching.Think were at a stage where one or 2 signings soon, could be enough to boost the confidence/step us up a level,or, where our rivals progress quicker than our ability to progress

couple of random bottles off the shelf on the way home fae the fitba - Brooklyn lager.A reasonable not too memorable 6/10

....And Aberdeen quine Rachel Corsie

Good to get through to the QF,though we contrived to turn a potential Jute humiliation into something a bit more awkward, not helped by O'Connors honking distribution from defence That aside, some good performances from Christie,McGinn and McLean ,...McKenna was solid once again, and the team as a whole pressed well.Rooney did so so,but think May will give us more options when fit.Even Stewart might be worth a run up front.Cant really see a huge difference in Woodman over Rogers tbh,but there you go. As said, think a sub or 2 at 4-1 to get Chidi on,or a youngster maybe. Job done but jings that was a cold walk back to the car. Not the worst draw though for the next round.A toughie but winnable tie. COYR

Think we were linked with him at some stage. Sorry for the boys family. No age...

In for this.Hope the home fans arent assuming we'll get through to the next round and turn up for this one Should be too strong for them despite being a cup tie. 3 - 0 Dons McGinn,Christie,Gms
