  1. As long as he isnt offering Eoin Doyle a better deal then I'm comfortable going with what we have right now. As long as we have a decent quality striker in before the sevco game, as far as I'm concerned the Burnley ties are a free shot for us. No one really expects us to get through but a decent showing tomorrow might show the English media that Scottish football isn't as bad as they all think (or probably more accurately English football isn't as good as they all think)
  2. I did predict sometime between Feb and april (been hunting for the quote canna find it but if someone with a bit more time or savvy than i have wants to look its there somewhere) that he would sign for upwards of a million this summer for a top end League 1 club. I suppose derby and Ipswich are bottom end Championship but not a lot of difference. If it happens I think he will do ok...
  3. And as if by magic we get a right back in..... Tommie Hoban......24 y/o loan from Watford Edit.....apparently prefers playing centre back though...
  4. He's no worse than the ex sevconian Waghorn who looks like getting sold for 6 million. If Ipswich can get him in for 1-1.5 million it's a good bit of business.
  5. You are probably correct he will end up at one of the bottom 4 or 5 clubs. However I think he will also be found out as not up to the required standard there too and be bombed out within 12 months back to a mid level Championship side.
  6. Third option for me.... Build a completely new national stadium somewhere easily accessible to all areas of Scotland rather than just the central belt.....so somewhere in between Stirling and Perth probably. Initially buy the whole Hampden site including Lesser Hampden from Queen's Park allowing them to relocate to a new build ground with capacity for around 5k fans ....plenty locations for this on south side of Glasgow. Sell the whole site for development. It's enormous. If we can get 15million for Pittodrie site they should comfortably quadruple that.
  7. Gone by mid Feb/mid March Beaten 3 times by the Dhims by then, 12-15 points behind in the league and with either us or Hivs (probably Hivs sadly) within 5 points either way of them. Will spend more money than they have yet again in January but will make no obvious improvement to the team. Orc hordes will turn against him and he will walk before he is pushed.
  8. I reckon John Lennon could skin Considine...
  9. I'd rather sign Eoin McLove....
  10. Do you practice at being a prick or does it just come natural? Cos you are without doubt the biggest one walking the streets of Scotland. You should really follow sevco ya fucking bellend
  11. Read what I wrote again. YOU are spikkin shite (keeping true to form)
  12. I remember '81 well when we drew Ipswich in the UEFA Cup and everyone said they would do the same to us as Liverpool had the previous season. Now Burnley aren't a patch on that Ipswich side who had Butcher, Wark, Mills, Mariner et al. Sadly we aint a patch on that Dons side..... If we can get any sort of victory without conceding then who knows. But I'm not holding my breath.
  13. Sebastian Gessl 22 y/o Austrian goalkeeper on a weeks trial. Ex of Karlsruhe in Bundesliga 2 and was an Austrian youth international.
  14. My prediction about Danny Ward is about to go up in smoke.........apparently about to sign for Leicester for £12million...... Woodman it is then.....
  15. I'd love to agree with this but can envisage that we get these young players in on 2-3 year contracts, suffer 7th or worse place finishes but see definite progress and just when we are about to flourish, these young players fuck off to English Championship/League 1 teams for twice the wages we can offer and leaving us back where we started.
  16. I think they'd do business with anyone to get Wallace out the door. Perhaps you have missed what happened with Miller and Wallace at the back end of last season but there seems to be no way back for him at Mordor and I believe they are both taking legal action over the club fines sevco imposed.
  17. Anyway on a different tack......and this one might get me a wheen o' Durrants. We know we need cover for Logan but left back is also a big problem, DM steadfastly refuses to play Shinnie there except in dire emergency and we all know Consi just isnt up to the job when facing anyone with a modicum of pace. Now sevco have 4 left backs vying for one spot. Looks like the wife beater Flanagan will be 1st choice. Lee Wallace is persona non grata around Ibrokes these days probably considered 4th choice behind Hodson. Honestly thought Fartz would make a move to try to get him in but theyve signed everyone else in the world but him it seems. Should we make a move? Even a year on loan initially we could prob afford to pay 50% of his wages and sure sevco would be glad to get him out the door.
  18. I'm 51 and I can do tap ins.... Assume you will be recommending DM signs me up asap
  19. Both can link play and assist others to score. Rooney couldn't.....ergo he's been punted
  20. Easier perhaps but still expect them to exit the tournament in this coming round...
  21. As long as we have a replacement lined up it really is best all round. Great servant but would not fit into the style DM wants us to play.
  22. I'd be astounded if we got a fee at all but if we did no way would it be more than £50k. Rooney was a fantastic servant but latterly he was a square peg in a round hole he just didn't fit in with the way DM sets the team up. And playing him on the left wing made the poor guy look worse than a Sunday pub league player. There must be a new striker in the pipeline as there is no way any sane manager would allow anyone to leave with a squad already down to the bare bones without having a suitable replacement lined up. Unless DM's next masterstroke is to stick Dom Ball in at centre forward
