Sunday 6th October 2024 - kick-off 3pm

Scottish Premiership: Aberdeen v Hearts

Hibs vs Dons

Expect us to go back to 4 at the back on Sunday as we will need to deny Boyle space to run into. Would be tempted to move McCrorie to right back with central 2 of Considine and McKenna and  have Hayes at left back. Thought McGeouch looked good on Thursday playing the holding role (yes I know opposition were poor) and he moves the ball much quicker than Ojo does.

Hibs have not looked great, Livingston aside, so far but keep winning so can see this being close game.

Can almost see in to Hibs ground from my flat so going to be a bit odd being this close and not attending the game.

I watched Sportscene last weekend and Hibs were lucky to get the points at at St Johnstone, but cannot help but feel Jack Ross is very much like McInnes in his approach to games

I see a tight game between 2 teams who will try and cancel each other out across the park, although they are poor defensively and theiry goalie is shit, so would like to see us attack them and not sit back.

Fancy us to sneak it with a Watkins goal and keep the winning run going.

I expect us to ditch defending and go for a free flowing, attack at all cost, approach.

I'm inclined to disagree with jute, I think McInnes might stick to three at the back. Usually when McInnes has a game plan, you see ten minutes or so of it in the previous game if we're winning. He didn't revert to a back four (I could have missed it to be fair!), and he retained a front two. He didn't even see it out at 2-0, which was sinister. Almost like he was listening to Andy Considine fae the Livi game.

I'm think he'll keep the 3-5-2 with Hayes and Kennedy, with Watkins and Main ahead of Hedges, Ferguson and McGeouch. I'd like to see Main dropped and Hedges up front and Wright in and hopefully lack of fitness (Main) will see to that, but probably not. I think Wright could draw gogic into a few bookable spots. He's slow, so I think he'd struggle being given the run around by Wright.

I'll be taking my daughter out on her new bike and then watching the game.

You get conned as well. We were only going to look for a new helmet for her and came out with new bike instead. Will get stung for helmet today when I collect bike today no doubt.

I think 3-5-2 on Thursday worked but as I said with McGeouch level of opposition may give us a false impression. Think McInnes will revert to type on Sunday despite as you have said elsewhere it being the system he seems to have been working towards.

No, the bike was a birthday present, so I don't think I was conned, but I'm guessing there was some sort of subliminal messaging going on whereby I was actually conned but am too stupid to realise it.

It'll be interesting like, I'm maybe being a bit optimistic.

I'm going for 4-2 the dons. McKenna, Kennedy, Ferguson (pen) and Watkins.

I think a 352 would suit Hernandez on the right flank, Kennedy seems to be a bit of a horror show defensively.

I'd agree about Kennedy, but not seen anything from Hernandez to suggest he's any better. Logan is significantly better than both defensively.

Nope. Gambling is a tool of the devil.

I've heard you say this before. It's quite quaint, and perhaps old-fashioned. Orwell said that football, gambling and beer was what the masses needed.

Anybody who has ever started a business is a gambler and a risk-taker. But I'm sure you referencing punting, and perhaps exclusively the business of the bookies and the casinos?

Personally, I don't have a problem with consenting adults speculating on outcomes and putting their money up against it so I wonder what the devilment you describe is? Is it to protect the weak and feeble-minded? Do you therefore consider the fool who parts with his money to have been stolen from?

There is no doubt that the game is rigged. 37 number possibilities in roulette and it pays 35/1, 38 in the US with the 00, which tickles my goat and fits my theory of the stupidity of the average American. Horses and football is rigged too, with the overall book never losing, year after decade. I just wondered where the evil you describe in gambling actually occurs?

Who other than a sick cunt and/or a loser seeks to drag up something that may or may not have happened years ago in a pathetic attempt at oneupmanship? It gives him away. It proves he's got nothing substantive nor fresh, it shows that he's hurting (most probably because some of us pointed out the shit they post) and most of all, it illustrates great bitterness and unhappiness. It demonstrates a lack of grace and intelligence too, like no man never made a mistake and they can never be forgiven for it. They don't appreciate the value of making mistakes. Every winner made mistakes. It's how they learn.

Do us a favour folks, go create a gambling thread if you want to bicker about the morality of gambling.

This is a really interesting fixture.  We are starting to look like we are up to match speed, and hibs are going to be a real test.  Not looking forward to facing Boyle, he's always good against us.

Fuck you. The mutant offered to bet on the game. Tup said no and gave an interesting reason for it. I flagged up an interruption to go off topic to ask him, he explained, I understood and acknowledged. There was no bickering so don't be so fucking precious. If you could read properly you would see that the constant interruptions of the mutant polluted the thread, not us. We were obliged to combat his shit, because no other cunt gives a fuck enough to curb their poison.

Edit: Not that you'd have noticed as you haven't posted for almost a month but the site has been infiltrated, it's the same old same old, it's polluting EVERY thread, it's pissing us all off and nobody is doing anything about it. ONE PM is all it takes, an intelligently-constructed one.
