Dons - killie - cup

Really, really not looking forward to this one. I've a killie mate who I've always laughed at, even when they were "good" the games between us generally went our way. This team are absolutely rudderless and the captain hasn't the belief/ knowledge how to steer us through the shallows, let alone the rough seas.

They're hitting a bit of form now, but I expect us to scrape a draw, then go out in the replay . If we need to avoid losing, mcinnes seems to manage to do it. It's more if we need to win he struggles.

Hope I'm wrong and the team manage to pull a performance out of the bag. It's fucking hard being interested / positive about the dons these days.

Interesting selection again, 3-1-4-1-1 or something  :dunno::laughing:

Like the look of the bench tonight though, think for the first time this season the subs are nicely split between defence, midfield and attack, options of youth and experience, even after losing Ojo the squad still looks strong.

Fingers crossed for a good result, hope it’s a great night for everyone who’s travelled.  :AFC2:

Since Dean Campbell's man of the match performance 10 days ago, he hasn't started any of the next three games.

Curtis Main scores once and has cemented himself in the team.

Apart from those two gripes, decent like-up.

A decent line up personnel wise, but scratching the head at the formation??. Am sure Deek has it all ..er under control though.

  Come away the Dandies

Especially as McGeouch has been poor so far. Bryson, McGeouch and Ferguson has the same ring to it as Ojo, McGeouch and Ferguson.

Well this is going well.  McGeouch, Byson and McLennan off. Logan, Cosgrove and Campbell on.

3 changes at half time, bold move or desperation? Either way, an admission he got the starting line up horribly wrong.

Boom......Considine once again saving the Dons

Yassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Blimey.Didna see that coming.  COYR

Sounds like the changes worked in terms of improved performance. McGeouch hasn't looked up to it since he's arrived, not looked fit. Bryson is unlikely to be fit either, so I suspect an element of enforced change through both performance and fitness.

::)

Fuck me sideways

I went for a piss after Cosgrove scored fully expecting penalties and totally missed the winner. What a fucking game!

SF

I pished myself just after Cosgrove scored. It was worth it just to hear the winning goal go in.

cheers Jute mate has just said the same, seems the sports bar is no more and is now the killie club assume will allow away fans in  ?

Hope ye didnae leave early?

Incredible turnaround, twice at the death.

Well done AFC. Hope it means something in May.

Great tribute from McInnes to Consi there. Deserves it, he's ace.

Also said he was hoping to hold out until half time in normal time because he was very concerned by our play, which speaks volumes as to how poor McGeouch and Bryson must have been. We'll let him (McInnes) off for it tonight. Hopefully we kick on from here.

Yep he said he was thinking of making a change in the first half and regrets leaving it until half time. Obviously he meant one of Mcgeouch and Bryson.....my money would have been on Mcgeouch

Excellent turnaround, didn't expect that when they'd scored just before half time. I think that sums up my frustration with this team.  They've clearly got heart and dedication, just don't seem to show it often enough.  Really hope the performances in feb are sign they've turned it around.

Really does make you wonder why we got McGeouch though, not sure what he's bringing to the team :-\

Anyone, the current king of the Dons, Consi, stepped up to the plate yet again. Superb.

Only fair we give Connor Johnston some credit. Comes on in the 118th minute, decks Ferguson for the penalty then scores the winner. Without him we’re oot!
