manc_don Posted November 19, 2025 Report Posted November 19, 2025 Fuck all work got done during those two hours. Was almost greetin at my desk. Wild, still can’t believe we’ve actually qualified for a World Cup. What a year 2025 has been. Proper roller coaster of a year. Three of the best goals we’ll see in a modern Scotland jersey. I mind questioning why no one else had lobbed schmeichel as he was miles off his line. Then king Kenny does his thing. 2 Quote
manc_don Posted November 19, 2025 Report Posted November 19, 2025 Looking forward to a drop of the good stuff tonight it’s been a long day 1 Quote

BigAl Posted November 19, 2025 Report Posted November 19, 2025 On a separate matter, Dylan Lobban made his first start for the U21's in last night's 1-0 victory away to Bulgaria Well done loon 2 Quote

No, we will be drawn with Argentina, Morocco and Italy (if they get through). England will play Jossy's Giants, The Hurricanes and Melchester Rovers. 1 2 Quote
Panda Posted November 20, 2025 Report Posted November 20, 2025 Aberdeen winning the Scottish Cup and Scotland qualifying for the World Cup within six months of each other, that's the dream. And yet, within those six months, both Jimmy Thelin and Steve Clarke have had more criticism than praise, and not unfairly so considering there's been more poor performances than good ones from both teams. Despite that, they've still both delivered the ultimate high. Kasper Schmeichel also deserves a lot of credit for being part of both days. 2 2 Quote

Don Julio Posted November 20, 2025 Report Posted November 20, 2025 Praying for Mexico, and in particular Mexico City for personal reasons. Those folk know how to party. Quote
BigAl Posted November 20, 2025 Report Posted November 20, 2025 If as previously reported Harvey Barnes knocked back the chance then he can go fuck himself. Turning twenty eight next month he knows his England chances have gone I suspect Pure co-incidence that this is back in the news now Quote
swaddon Posted November 20, 2025 Report Posted November 20, 2025 As enjoyable and memorable as Tuesday was, I don't like all this talk of Clarke being knighted or calls for a public holiday for our first match in the World Cup. We have only qualified, it's not as if we've won it (yet). The hard work has only just started. 1 Quote

He likes to look at players over a few camps before capping them classicly and, loyalty to the players that got us here aside, there are literally no fixtures in the calender for the national team right now. I suspect we will play some friendlys in March when the play offs are on but after that the next time the team gets together it will likely be for pre world cup warm up matches (and isn't that nice to type). Sorry Harv, too little too late. Quote

Don Julio Posted November 20, 2025 Report Posted November 20, 2025 Mexico City not hot at all - rarely gets above 24C ( I appreciate that's hot by Aberdonian standards!). In Mexico depends whether you're at altitude or not. Guadalajara probably a bit hotter and Monterrey hotter still! Bits of Canada and The States likely much hotter than Mexico City. Quote

tom_widdows Posted November 20, 2025 Report Posted November 20, 2025 5 of the stadiums are 'indoor' LA, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, and Vancouver Only been to the states in the summer once and New York is not fun in July unless you are cold blooded and have asbestos skin Quote
