Joe Lewis

What a fantastic keeper we have here. Doesn't seem to get the same high praise as Danny Ward got.

For me he's as good if not better than Ward , I don't think he's put a foot wrong since coming here.

Hes a good shot stopper, commands the box vey well and he's a very good kicker..

What's not to like

Just seen that, excellent news

Good news that he has signed an extension.

Means a bigger fee when we sell him in January.

Excellent news!  This is like a new signing! If we had lost him we would really have struggled next season. A great goalkeeper the likes we have not seen since Snelders. Kjaer was a good keeper and Leighton too when he came back but there have been very few great keepers in the last 20+ years.

As a (retired) goalkeeper and defender myself, goalkeepers are so often overlooked but are one of the most important positions on the field! They stop goals, they organise and give confidence to the defence, they start attacking moves etc. etc.

"give confidence to the defence"

This is the key ingredient, great news.

Hopefully a better week all round for things AFC.

Pleasantly surprised and delighted. Cheers Joe

When I saw thr thread appear at the top of the forum earlier I nearly shat myself thinking he was off, but very happy to read he has signed for three more years.

Top goalie and comes across as a top bloke also.

Probably the best signing we will make this summer.
