USA v Scotland 26/05

SFA just confirmed friendly in US. Doubt I will be able to afford this one.

Dear SSC Members,

At last, we are delighted to announce an away match against the USAat the end of the season on 26 May 2012.

The match will take place at the home of the NFL team the Jacksonville Jaguars, in Florida.

Craig Levein said: “Following the match against Slovenia in February, this will provide another opportunity to get the group together ahead of the World Cup 2014 Qualifiers in September. We will have an extended period together in May, with a training camp in the USA prior to the match on the 26th, which is very important as we prepare for the qualifiers. We’re all looking forward to this match, which gives us a chance to test ourselves against a nation that is emerging as one of the top sides in world football.”

The teams last met on U.S. soil ahead of the 1998 FIFA World Cup, drawing 0-0 on May 30, 1998, in Washington, D.C.

International Challenge Match

USA v Scotland

EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Florida

Saturday 26 May 2012

Kick off 8:00pm ET

Although this is a large stadium, we’ve been asked by the US Soccer Federation to give them an idea of how many of you want to travel to this match.

So, we’ll be in touch over the next couple of days with a poll asking if you’re intending to go to the States.

Many Thanks

MLS is not a good league.

Apart from the occasional Beckhams and Henrys the average standard is no better than mid-SPL, I've been watching it regularly for a couple of years now.

Where the USA benefit Internationally is that they do actually have world-class players in big leagues, and a selection that isn't based on wages/transferfees/where the player actually plays. And they do a really good job of looking after the young up-coming players. No Bentlys or night-clubs, just a professional contract at a "fair" level and learn how to play pro-football. Just like us huh?

Now, dinna get me wrong I like MLS, the wage cap thing and draft keeps things far more level than the SPOFL, but sometimes the football played is pretty poor.

And the commentary?  :hammer:

who does levein have photos of, and of what sordid sexual misadventure?

Cunt been sacked yet?

No he has not. In fact press seem to be solidly behind him accepting every excuse he comes out with. Would love to know what he has on them.

Levein is going fucking nowhere any time soon.

He will be gone in November after we have lost first 4 qualifiers.

Awful good of them to invite a pished bird from the crowd to sing the US anthem.

haha she came out and said she never knew she would need ear buds and the ones the sound crew gave her were too big and kept falling out so she could not hear herself. She has been getting the piss ripped out of her on sport talk shows here.

so she could not hear herself

I wish the rest of us had been that lucky....
