Personal messages

I used to receive an email to notify me I had received a personal message on here, however this no longer happens.

Can this function be recommenced please?

Have you tried this?

Thanks for your reply scotfree.

I have followed your suggestion which will now activate a pop-up when I receive a PM, however when I went into Modify Profile I had already said "always" to Notify by email every time you receive a PM (which I haven't been receiving, hence initial post)

I don't get the time to be on DT every day, so liked when I used to get email confirmation I'd received a PM.

Any chance of changing the colour of the text of the "My Messages" bit? It's too similar to the back ground and sometimes I've had a PM there for a while but just nae noticed it. ???

I momentarily had (1) next to my 'My Messages' icon at the top of the page. Clicked on it and it took me to my messages where there were no new messages.

Baffled.

I just sent you a test PM, did you get it?

I assume you're taking the piss but if not then no, I didn't get it.

I also have 23 pages worth of pm's. Maybe I've filled my inbox but it doesn't tell me that.

To everyone having issues with PMs, please follow instructions above whuch at least will notify you whilst on this site until we can hopefully resolve the bigger issue of notification going to the e mail address you registered under

This.  :-\

I find the private messages to be quite slow.

So that folk that haven't already done so can change their settings.

Stating the bleeding obvious but have you tried clearing out your inbox ?

Mine works just fine

I did this ages ago, but when i'm sending messages it is incredibly slow. Works fine from my phone, but when I'm on a computer turns as quickly as CtS' wife!

Yes and yes.

Aye it's very slow for sending messages and I have a fairly empty inbox.
