El Padre™
Only result this weekend has to be a solid win and a clean sheet. We couldn't do it there last season, so this is one of many things McGhee has to get to right. Langfield Mulgrew Zander BEEEEEEAAAAAAAST Foster Aluko Kerr McDonald Maguire Miller Paton Maguire or Aluko pushing forward to form a front three when necessary? Hamilton 0-3 Aberdeen Lets get our season started.
Ajja
I'd sideline Miller and get a fast, active front line of Maguire and Paton and Aluko and Pawlett supporting in the wider areas. Hamilton were rank last week and looked open to some direct football on the deck.
BigAl
I'd sideline Miller Agreed, but I'd go with Paton and Mackie
Kowalski
Agreed, but I'd go with Paton and Mackie So would I.
manc_don
Agreed, but I'd go with Paton and Mackie Agreed, Miller needs a rocket up his arse to make him realise he is dropable and not central to this team.

Kowalski
Paton ready for first Aberdeen FC start Aberdeen FC youngster wants to face Accies By Charlie Allan Published: 20/08/2009 ABERDEEN FC striker Michael Paton is desperate to be let loose on Hamilton on Saturday. The 20-year-old, whose star has been rising over the last year or so, is hoping Aberdeen FC manager Mark McGhee will hand him his first top team start when they visit New Douglas Park looking for their first win of the season. maverick sheep
Bench Miller and go for Wright and Mackie up top. Not working then double swap for 2 of the other 3 and draw a line under Wright (if not) Mackie's Aberdeen career. Miller's lack of form means it's time for Wright to step up. Mackie's running and positional flexibility make him useful as a squad player but Wright only has one job to do. If he can't do it against Hamilton then he can't do it against anyone. Ptayles
. Langfield Mulgrew Zander BEEEEEEAAAAAAAST Foster Aluko Kerr McDonald Maguire Miller Paton I would pesonally drop miller and maguire and play Mackie instead of miller and play foster right mid and take jonothan crawford in atthe back
manc_don
I'd agree with Ptayles, Maguire definitely needs to be dropped, but thats the problem with our squad being so threadbare, we don't really have anyone that can step up to the plate. The same goes for Miller. But I would like to see Crawford tried out.
Guest ally s
I'd drop Maguire and play Paton up front with Miller. Push Foster back to right back, if Pawlett's unable to start then I'd like to see the boy Megginson given a shot at right midfield. He looked pretty decent when he came on against Olomouc, wasn't scared to run at the full back and whip a cross in.
maverick sheep
Wright's injured. Wondered that when I wrote it. Fuck him then. Pap him out to some dross on a free and let's none of us mention his name again.
maverick sheep
Sounds like you boys want to see the return of "the tombola" We've already seen it 3 times this season!
SeeBass
I`ve got a quid on Aberdeen 3-1 (18/1) , and three £1 e/w goalscorers in Aluko (8/1), McDonald (25/1), Ifil (40/1).
Reekie_Red
Reckon I'll stick 50 quid on Hamilton Hamilton win = Jager win. Aberdeen win = Jager doesnae care about the 50 quid, cos the Dons have won anyway. A win win situation for you ... uinless of course it ends up a draw. minijc
Read on mad that Fyvie in in the squad and might play tomorrow Surely not? If they are good enough they are old enough, simples, McGhee has given a fair few current EPL players their first games at that age.
manc_don
Lets be honest ajja, he can't be any worse than whats already in the first team, i certainly agree with mini, if you're good enough you're old enough. I hope he gets a run out soon. Fingers crossed he actually has a backbone.
