mizer
Dutch striker Robert Fik has decided against signing for the Dons due to family reasons. The 26 year old has elected to remain in his native Holland rather than uproot his family and continue his career in Scotland. Aberdeen had offered the player, currently plying his trade as an amateur, a one year deal, which would have made him Jimmy Calderwood's fifth summer capture, joining Lee Mair, Jackie MacNamara, Jonathan Kurrant and Jeffrey de Visscher. Bobby Peru
easy come, easy go. to be honest, i'm nae sure another striker is a priority. let's get clangfield oot the door and a decent keeper in and we'll be in pretty damn good shape, i say. Reekie_Red
I would say I'm gutted that he's not signed for us ... but let's be honest, none of us were really overwhelmed with excitement about this potential signing, were we? There's still a long way to go until the transfer window closes. Does this mean that there is now a free berth for a new player? Perhaps time to move in for the kill and get either Watford's Richard Lee or Man City's Kasper Schmeichel up here and make moves to punt Clanger for whatever cash we can get for him.
