Series 1 captured the zeitgeist. Series two was dog shit. Series 3 I quite enjoyed.

I understand it’s not aimed at me but fucking hell, the writer on that show has the easiest gig in showbiz

Ninky Nonk/Pinky Ponk turns up, Upsy Daisy does a wee dance, Makka Pakka washes some stones, the Tombliboos put the wrong trousers on, Iggle Piggle is late for bed. Rinse & repeat for 200 episodes

Can’t believe you left out the Pontipines and the Wottingers running about their gardens. 

Derek Jacobi is of course the magic ingredient.

I saw a bit of Moon & Me on CBeebies. Whoever came up with that show was smoking something very strong.

The Vinnie Jones docu-film-thingy on Netflix is a decent watch. No surprises, but well put together bio of his playing days - and a little beyond.

The new version of Cape Fear on Apple TV is off to a good start. Genuinely tense vibe.

The Craig Gordon episode is to be released on Wednesday from 6 am on iPlayer. No idea why they held it back.

The original Ken Loach TV play of Nell Dunns, Up The Junction, on the iPlayer.

Not as good as the film version, from later in the 60s and doesn't feature Suzy Kendall 😍, but a decent watch, for anyone who has read the book.

Also on the iPlayer and not coming to Netflix anytime soon, is 'Summer of 76'.

It's a documentary about the industrial decline of the UK and rising unemployment and focuses on a Sunderland family, where both adults have just been made redundant and their 16 year old lad, who has just left school and can't get work.

A nice bit of social history this and the interviewer asking them if it is morally correct for them to be going on holiday, when both are out of work.

The holiday is camping in Scarborough for two weeks, with three other families and is their usual two weeks away and all planned before they lost their jobs.

Really different times back then.

Don't all rush to the iPlayer at once now.

I don’t watch much TV, but at a loose end, I looked at season three of the critically-mauled Granite Harbour. Feds investigating a death are examining some kid’s bedroom, and there’s a Dons scarf on display. The one weakness is that the room is in a static caravan.

Still, that’ll rankle with the Jutes as it’s obviously been filmed in their manor.

Weirdly I just watched that too.

"Theres been a murrrrdddder min"

The dons scarf immediately cleared him of any suspicion in my view.

But since he was the next vic tim perhaps a manky sellic scarf would have been more appropriate ,especially with the subsequent candle vigil.

Since most of it is filmed in Glasgow, Weegie Cesspit would be a more fitting title for the show.
