You’re probably right, we only know so much. But such a shame when you consider the luxury of forwards we had when we last went to world cups. Even nisbet was on form and scoring goals. 

So that Tim team ended up doing a double then.

Ignoring the blatant gerrymandering of certain results over the last couple of weeks for a moment, that’s a pretty damning indictment of the quality of this league - cause that Tim team is not good.

Me too and I've a very good friend who is a Tiger supporter and am as delighted for him as he was for me this day last year.  So the 6th, (6th!) best team in the league get to have final game at Wembley in front of 80k fans, win and  run around the stadium with it shiny cup, have an open bus parade tomorrow whilst the 2nd best team in the league - Ipswich : nothing, can't really have an open top bus parade for coming 2nd (unless you are DABS).

Only found out a few weeks ago that they actually give a trophy for finishing second (well in english league 1 they did as Cardiff had a formal presentation in their last home game.)

The play-offs in England are being expanded, similar to the way it works in the National League (the Conference in old money). The team finishing 8th could be promoted to the Premier League.

I see Celtic have won the cup again,ending our reign.

I take comfort that none of the green vermin, will have felt anything like we did last year, when we won it.

I don't think he used those words. Fairly irrelevant anyway, as he played twice after that incident, including scoring a pen against Serbia that helped us to the Euros. 

I suspect that it was probably between him and Stewart for the final spot, and Stewart had been on marginally better form.
