Yet again he offered absolutely nothing. Complete waste. He should never play again, but I think I've said that after every game he has played

A mate of mine, who is a rather accomplished sportsman himself, predicted that Pape Gueye would never score for the Dons, after his less-than-impressive start at the club. I bet against him, and obviously won (GIRUY champ)

I've tried to bring this same spirit along for the Milanovic journey, opposed to all empirical evidence. Nevertheless, I remain faithful: it was foretold, Milanovic will score for the Dons.

That game should have been all over by HT.

We were very decent first half. Well set up, disciplined, used the ball well, created chances, good stuff - but then the finishing was utter shite.

Second half, everything wrong with this lot all clearly on display yet again.

A couple of comments on players:

Geiger is a player, excellent footballer, he’d be even better in an actual football team, so naturally we won’t be able to keep him.

Aremu was good first half, but yet again, completely died on his arse fitness wise second half. Not good enough that, he’s been here long enough to get match fit by now.  A summer running the dunes at Balmedie seriously required there.

If this club signs Olusanya this summer they can GTF for all time. How the fuck is that guy making a living as a footballer - unbelievable Jeff.

Can we please stop any talk that those 3 CH’s are remotely good enough or suitable for this league. TBF, Morrison wasn’t horrible tonight, I thought his positioning was generally good, but you cannot play a bunch of CH’s in this league who are so weak physically, lacking in aggression, poor in the air & unable to defend their box - & I include Knoester in that who got completely done and outmuscled by their guy winning the ball into the box that led to their second - which was a decent finish tbf.

We’ve been worse, but we’re just not good, and nobody did anything to change that opinion unsurprisingly - and thankfully - cause that team needs completely ripped up and start again…

Just back from game. Thought we played reasonably well first half, solid enough at back and Aremu and Geiger were tenacious in middle but still not enough offered going forward. Livi decided to go for the win midway through second half and put us under a bit of pressure. We responded with Topi and Milanovic as the game opened up. I thought Keskinen did well, offered more for 10mins than Olusanya did all game. We continue to struggle with creating chances but definitely harder to beat. Steady progress without much to get excited about.

That's a pretty fair assessment .... Canna say we were any better or worse than ye describe .... it was an excitin' game tho .... which, as a fitba fan, Ah hae tae say is a good thing.

We didna get the result Ah hoped for, but didna get the result Ah feared ..... and in the position we're in, a point is progress.

Ah thought Aremu had a good game overall .... puts in a shift, good positional sense, and was at the right place at the right time on many occasions to cover the defence, and also provide a link in the middle of the park. Agree his fitness could be improved, but he seems tae hae a level o' alertness which mitigates.

An away draw from our dismal team is no bad thing. As bad as Olusanya is he is way more of a threat than Keskinen the eternal disappointment. I feel Robinson is trolling us putting Milanovic on. We have way too many players who just aren't average enough.

Nothing else Robinson can do, we have no good wingers so talking them up can’t do any damage.
there has to be a player in milanovic, seem to recall him playing on the left in YouTube clips when we signed him? What type of player was he pre Aberdeen? He wasn’t always inverted crap surely.

topi is poor too, no better than Connor McLennan. Look forward to us signing some (quality)width this summer

Friday night football fun for the Dons this week as they head down to Lothian to take on Livingston. The action begins at 7:45 pm.

I think that Livi's tails will be in the air after their win on Saturday and they still have a chance of staying up. So I fancy a 2-2 draw.

Called it.

I would have taken a point away from home before the game.

If Dundee United can beat Killie, then they would be requiring snookers to stay up.

Not that I'm advocating cheering on them today.

We're nae going in the play off min..

Killie or St Mirren aren't going to find four wins in their next four games and no matter how shyte we are, we're not going to lose our next three.

As I said earlier on this thread, we are a pish team, but we're not going in the play off.

Milanovic back on the bench was a strange one.

Robinson trolling us already.

Hopefully if Milanovic is here next season, the player we thought we were signing turns up.

Never a winger though.

in the a-league, he was always an inverted winger. Cut in all the time and had good levels of success but my memory was of him either shooting or passing, not crossing. He was genuinely thought of (by Aussies) as the next big thing for them but it’s not happened. Probably the wrong league for him in all honesty and now he’s broken.

I quite enjoyed my trip to Livi great company good banter too much rum 2 goals most I've seen all season and the fans were quite upbeat after the game and players got a clap

Onwards and upwards won't be back there anytime soon

Oh and a lift and McDonald's on the way home what's not to like 😊

His biggest issue is the physical side. If he can get more power, strength and running he has the ability to be an asset. Hedges was gash in his first season for the Dons, but spent the summer working on his fitness and returned a very good player. Milanovic has technical abilities, definitely, they're just nearly invisible because he's got the physical attributes of a teenager making his debut in Scotland. That results in him being frightened to get the ball and timid in general. He's a player that could certainly be useful with a lot of work. He'll never be like Morris, because he doesn't have the pace, but he could be the strong, direct, runner through the middle that Hedges was. It just depends on how much time Robinson is willing to spend on him, and how much the player is willing to work. I have my doubts about both those things.

I believe Hearts paid less for Braga AND Kyzaridis combined than we paid for Keskinen alone.

Sums it up perfectly really…

Australia A league player of the year my Arse

I recall on AbMad (RIP) i was getting a hard time from fellow posters for writing the boy off after seeing him in a dons shirt for the first time and after 30 minutes I knew straight away he was a fkn imposter of a football player.

how the fk he ever won that award will remain for ever as an unsolved world mystery

should never ever pull on a dons shirt ever again.

oh and back on topic that pish last night was just another eye bleeding reminder of how much work lies ahead for Robinson and staff.

good luck with it all as you are going to need it

Disappointing to draw after being ahead twice but overall I thought that was a decent point.  We were really good in the first half and Geiger impressed me for the first time.  Livi were obviously far more of a threat the second half but there was element of fortune with their first and some ping for the second.  If we had snuck a winner we would have been worth it.  I'm honestly not sure there is much point in judging our style of play and individual performances too much at the moment though, we are in a slog out the last few games then go lick our wounds in the summer scenario.

@Rico re Shinnie I did hear mention up here at the start of the season that he might be coming along the a96 this summer and that both County and Inverness were interested.  I doubt County would be an option now but his wife is from Inverness and I believe has always wanted to come home once he stops playing.

The only players from last nights team that I would want next season as first team are Nisbet, Geiger and Frame. Aremu, Knoester and Armstrong could still do a job for us depending on who plays beside them. The rest offer next to nothing. The sad thing is the most likely out of all that will be Geiger away and we will be stuck with Olusanya and Milanovic.

It happens consistently against us because manager after manager refuses to set up properly at set pieces.

Honestly think the last manager that took it seriously was Jimmy Calderwood
