I'd say that looked clear last night, he seemed to run out of energy quite quickly. Smith is the type of player who will rely a lot on fitness. He's like a Johnny Hayes type, or Stevie May, fitness could be a massive part of his game. The ability to cover a lot of ground and be relentless, with his particular direct approach to playing, turns an average player into a really good one. There were signs of it at Livingston last season, but if Robinson is taking the time to take him to the next level in terms of fitness, then there could be a good payoff for us and him in the end.

I'm not for sacking managers either. I also didn't want Robinson, I think I have been quite clear about that. I don't think it will work. I would love to be proved wrong. I think it will be a miracle if this team makes top six. I think we will be stuck with Robinson until summer no matter how bad it gets. I seriously doubt a miracle worker could improve the pile of crap signings we have made. Prove me so wrong please.

I'm all for sacking managers when they are numpties like Robinson. The quicker he's fired the better.

Are they all his signings though? The point of the head coach set up is that recruitment is dealt with elsewhere.

Cadden, Mayo, Lyons, Ronan, Smith may well have been his. Happe possibly.

The two German goalkeepers I think were Lutz.

GW, Ntelo, Mouloua, Mahou and Briedl were all very likely from the scouting team.
