BigAl Posted 9 hours ago Author Report Posted 9 hours ago Our Moroccan Magician (2026 version) is officially an Aberdeen player. Three year deal with the option of a further year. Welcome on board loon Quote
swaddon Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago "It is a great honour to have the opportunity to join a club with the history and stature of Aberdeen," Mouloua told club media, just after he had Googled who Aberdeen are. Or maybe I'm wrong, and he's been a Top Red all his life, growing up watching Adam Rooney and Darren Mackie and idolising them. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Really interesting signing. At the same time, yengi, Ambrose, and lazetic all had histories and YouTube clips that made them interesting. However, joint top scorer in the Moroccan league last year, so he can score. And two recent caps for a legit international team. Supposedly we’ve after him for months, plus have scouted him multiple times. We the three failures above, sounds like we were really thorough with this guy. Fingers crossed. 1 Quote
The.Moog Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago (edited) As you say, the guys got a couple of recent international caps in a legit top tier side. That’s got to say something. The scouting reports say he’s absolutely not suited to long ball football either, so hopefully that also says something positive about Robinson’s tactical plan for this season. If he’s anywhere near as entertaining as Zero was, he’ll do me. Welcome aboard loon. Heads off to dig the fez out the attic… Edited 4 hours ago by The.Moog Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago He made reference to being excited to getting to try a chipper supper for the first time, fae a proper chipper and having a rowie at Cormack Park canteen the morn, for his breakfast. Welcome onboard the Robinson express min. 1 Quote

BigAl Posted 3 hours ago Author Report Posted 3 hours ago Too fucking lazy to check this myself BUT have we ever signed EIGHT players within the first fortnight of a transfer window before Quote

Also, playing the cup means an earlier competitive start so we need players earlier anyway. Agree though, a good thing! Quote

It's not great having to sign so much players in one window, knowing that a 50%, success rate would be about as good as we can expect. I really hope this is the last summer of this pish, of signing so many players, but we've been saying the same thing for a few years now. Hopefully Robinson is the man to break this cycle. Quote
Panda Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago So is this how we shape up just now? Few others in there like Yengi, Lazetic and Ambrose but suspect they're on their way out, same with Milanovic (included him though because he featured v Cove). Couldn't fit in Mercer but suspect he'll go out on loan anyway. Possibly Lobban too. Maybe even Milne but think they'll wait and see how Tobers' fitness goes first. Midfield: Hard to judge based on one friendly how Robinson sees it shaping up (I've a few players out of position there simply just to fit them in). It could even be more of a 4-2-3-1 with Nisbet and Mouloua starting together and switching. Maybe a 4-3-1-2 with Keskinen and Armstrong deeper. Anyway, thoughts at this stage are we need to ship out the dead wood, I pray that defence is solid, and jury remains out on whether Yogane & Olusanya will be at the level we require. I also do look at that midfield and think it still lacks one top player who can dictate games, but not seen enough of Briedl or Ronan yet. Quote
