wee toon red Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Mayo and Lyons officially confirmed. Whether they pan out or not, still good to see business being done early. 2 Quote

Mason89 Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago I’ve got to be honest, I thought Ramadani was shit. Same with Bisconti. I could never understand why fans liked them so much Quote
The.Moog Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Looks like O’Hara isn’t coming now, so Briedal would certainly be a useful midfield addition if it happens. As for the other two, good to see a right sided CH on board early, can also cover RB. Lets see what Lyons brings, decent Premiership experience so depth at the very least. Welcome onboard to both… Quote
Jute Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Cannot say I like either of the two signings announced today but they are the type of players I feared Robinson would sign. Back to celebrating mediocrity. Quote
Panda Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago (edited) I'm quite happy with the signings. The past few seasons, apart from the odd exception (Mitov), our sighing policy tends to be players who once had potential but haven't kicked a ball for three years due to injury/not being good enough, and we hang our hats on them suddenly rediscovering everything at Aberdeen. Sometimes they spoil us a with a young player who their youth coach confidently predicts will be the next big thing (Keskinen, Milanovic). So I quite like signing guys that are fit and have proved they can play in the Premiership rather than more Palaversas and Lazetics. Edited 8 hours ago by Panda 1 Quote

Alexander Briedl, 24yo midfielder. 4 hours ago, wee toon red said: More info on him if you're into that sort of thing: https://aberlytics.substack.com/p/scouting-report-alexander-briedl Confirmed on a two-year deal. This bit makes me a little bit excited. The 24-year-old arrives after an impressive spell in his native Austria, where he established himself as an energetic and influential defensive midfielder. 1 Quote

BigAl Posted 6 hours ago Author Report Posted 6 hours ago Wow, I go out to golf with a client at the back of nine, eighteen holes later food and pints and we have three signings Welcome on board lads Quote

They might not be world beaters, but they're experienced, know the league and know what they are up against. WIll give some much needed back bone. We can likely do better, but could (and often do) do a lot worse - so welcome aboard lads. And they have both been very complimentary about us fans (of course). Etch your names into the history of the Dons. Austrian lad sounds like he could be a good one. Don't let us down Stephen! Quote

2stars Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Was glass half empty with the Killie 2 but again read the arguments for and thought at least Mayo could be an upgrade on what we have the Austrian lad will go one of 2 ways and hopefully he is the disciplined defensive midfielder we have needed then my optimism sank when news said the deal to sign Olusanya was close yes the lad can put himself about, is fast and did actually provide goals in some shape or form, but fuck me he isn’t a footballer if you wanted chaos and strength we may as well try to get Pape back because he offered that and was more of a footballer and goal threat than Olusanya will ever be Edited 2 hours ago by 2stars Quote
