My biggest worry - and expectation if I'm honest - is that in October we all say "we haven't replaced Graeme Shinnie". Have Anthony Stewart captain vibes already. Aye, I don't think O'Hara is a replacement, for example. That's not to say it wasn't the correct decision, just that he needs to be replaced with a reasonably known quantity, or we get lucky with recruitment. Just like when Considine left, we could end up with a lot worse via recruitment. The same with every player, of course, but Robinson has the luxury of having very few players that we can say that about! Quote

I don't think you really can replace an influence like shinnie 2bh. Whoever takes the armband can only succeed him. Quote

Kowalski Posted yesterday at 17:04 Report Posted yesterday at 17:04 Elvis has left the building. As Shinnie’s legs have gone the “we haven’t replaced him by October” really means we haven’t replaced his leadership skills off the park, as he has barely been played lately. Bit surprised he didn’t stay with the carrot dangled of a coaching role though. Expect Devlin will be captain. Quote
swaddon Posted yesterday at 17:05 Report Posted yesterday at 17:05 Also, it's good that Besuijen's 10 year contract has finally come to an end. 2 1 Quote
RicoS321 Posted yesterday at 17:09 Report Posted yesterday at 17:09 It would be funny if only the top half of Shinnie went to Inverness. His legs have stayed. 1 Quote
wee toon red Posted yesterday at 17:45 Report Posted yesterday at 17:45 Nisbet more likely to be captain id say, more chance of playing every week than Devlin. Quote

Ajja Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Are we just glossing over the fact that Shinnie has captained an absolute shit show in the last 18 months. Obviously I’m not suggesting he’s entirely responsible but it’s not exactly CV enhancing. Pin pulled… Quote

Pin pulled… Many factors in play though, from recruitment, management, tactics, and just overall depth of shit players, don’t think you can really point the finger at shinnie. You can’t complain when your Raleigh grifter doesn’t behave like a Harley. 1 Quote

Pin pulled… Yeah, we are, because he isn't the manager, doesn't pick the team, doesn't set the tactics, and isn't one of the coaches, sports scientists, or any one of the many people who have more influence over the squad's performances than he does. Or do you an idea of what he should be doing? Pinning every member of the squad up against the wall one by one? 1 Quote
BigAl Posted 2 hours ago Author Report Posted 2 hours ago Always thought that getting Watson was too good to be true and so it proves as he signs on at Bolton fucking Wanderers Ah well, he is vastly over rated anyway Quote

Obviously he’s a titan with godlike status …but the pinning against the wall idea sounds decent Quote
