Aye, I don't think O'Hara is a replacement, for example. That's not to say it wasn't the correct decision, just that he needs to be replaced with a reasonably known quantity, or we get lucky with recruitment. Just like when Considine left, we could end up with a lot worse via recruitment. The same with every player, of course, but Robinson has the luxury of having very few players that we can say that about!

I don't think you really can replace an influence like shinnie 2bh. Whoever takes the armband can only succeed him.

As Shinnie’s legs have gone the “we haven’t replaced him by October” really means we haven’t replaced his leadership skills off the park, as he has barely been played lately. Bit surprised he didn’t stay with the carrot dangled of a coaching role though.

Are we just glossing over the fact that Shinnie has captained an absolute shit show in the last 18 months. Obviously I’m not suggesting he’s entirely responsible but it’s not exactly CV enhancing. Pin pulled…
