I have a feeling he might go backwards beyond this season, but could be wrong. He plays in a difficult role too, because he's not the quickest winger in the world. I'm not totally convinced, and I'm not convinced that he'd get the game time here that is so important for a player like him. McGinn used to get three games of being pish for us, before he produced something brilliant in his fourth. I have a feeling we wouldn't do that for Miller, in the same way we wouldn't for Keskinen. That's a bit harsh on McGinn mate. Quote

Yes, I thought that as I was writing it, I was exaggerating to make the point! What I should have said is that McGinn would go three games without creating something, before being sublime. McGinn was very good at doing the work required, covering back and maintaining position, so when he had a day when he wasn't creating, he never sold us at the other end. I think that Miller might do that, to a degree, but I don't think that he'll get the time to do so, as we'll simply chop and change rather than play someone into form in that role. 1 Quote
Ajja Posted Thursday at 10:03 Report Posted Thursday at 10:03 I’d be really wary of touching any players at Falkirk. They are an exceptionally well coached side and so doing brilliantly with players that you wouldn’t expect to be doing as well as they are. There are big risks in plucking players out of those kind of set ups and expecting them to play at the same level. Robinson might have a strong coaching ability too but that’s still to be seen. I’d say the same about Motherwell. Very well coached but are those players good enough to step into a different set up and play as well? I’d take Said from them as he’s exactly the kind of player we need and I think he is maverick enough for it not to be just good coaching. The others I’m not sure. 1 Quote

For the second time though, he’s admitted that he’s developed the more “experienced” side of his game, eg buying free kicks (paying tribute to Shinnie’s ability in this dodge). No doubt some twat at the SPFL, or a twisted referee will have seen this and draw the attention of other refs to it to our disadvantage. Good luck min, Findlay min. 1 Quote
BigAl Posted 10 hours ago Author Report Posted 10 hours ago According to The Sun (I know, I know) It could be a case of Martin Boyle at Pittodrie next season Quote

That's funny Rico His diving was the first thing I thought about when I saw about this He has already been told he isn't getting a new Hibs deal Quote
2stars Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Boyle is finished - definitely sounds like someone trying to flaunt themselves but given our transfer history who knows Quote

STFU_Donny Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago P&J got an article about it too. Apparently Dave tried to sign him a few years ago. Quote
tlg1903 Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Boyle is not the player he once was cos, well, pace but if he's prepared to come for a reasonable wage (which he might, cos, dons fan) he knows where the back of the net is. I wouldn't hate it. Quote
Ajja Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Potentially useful as an impact player late on in games but he hasn’t got it in him to be a starter. As said already, on the cheap as a squad filler then yes, otherwise leave him be. ….oh and a hair cut should be part of the deal. Edited 3 hours ago by Ajja Quote
Jute Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Few years back maybe but not now for Boyle. Not got same pace and refs seem to be on to his falling over. Quote
DonUnder Posted 37 minutes ago Report Posted 37 minutes ago Wouldn't be surprised to see him down here. Quote
