Kilmarnock v Aberdeen

Another Saturday 3 pm kick-off beckons for the Dons as they travel to deepest, darkest Ayrshire to take on struggling Kilmarnock on the 31st January.

Kilmarnock have Neil McCann at the wheel (at the time of writing) and have only won twice in the league all season. We have beaten them twice already, although we were lucky in both games.

Maybe it's unfounded optimism on my part after today, but I fancy us to cuff them 3-0.

This is true. I’m unsackable in my job and I do the bare minimum every single day. I’m currently trying to teach myself card tricks during office hours

Meh. Dont agree. Don’t think Cameron passed to an Aberdeen player first 30 mins. Armstrong didn’t touch the ball. Topi has done a couple of things, but all have been shit.

You wouldn't agree if you ignore the point I'm actually making.

Criminal not to change center mid, been horrendous in there and that’s your engine, pivot point. That’s ego right there, blame the kid when the experienced heads have failed you.

Game over. Poor decision making by Leven.

Dare I say it, shinnie has to be careful given we’re shit and he’s already booked. Next goal is huge, but equally huge is discipline from shinnie.

Hemmin, can you just stop predicting things now please.

That's never a red. It's not even a yellow, but they'll feel they have to give one.

Yep. Entirely predictable sending off. Shinnie should have been hooked at half time.

That's the worst decision I've ever seen

Definitely a yellow.

Been saying it for an hour. Can’t chase a game with a shite midfield with shinnie on a yellow. Leven gtf.

There was nothing predictable about a straight red.

Not taking Shinnie off at HT was just really naive, poor management from Leven.

After that long talk he got first half you knew the ref was just waiting for an opportunity to send him off - why give him the chance. Poor stuff.

Game over anyway, as if it wasn’t already.

EDIT: Striker off for midfielder, pragmatic for damage limitation, but that’s just admitting we surrender and the games over…

On what grounds? He barely touched the player.

Shinnie has had hundreds of those chats in his career though. It's actually quite rare for him to get sent off, and not unusual for him to get an early booking and last ninety minutes.

Studs up, dangerous play, wreckless, take your pick. And contact is made. You drinking??

Shinnie kicked the Killie player. Intentional or not should be a booking. Not a red though. Even worse is the second half performance before that. Chasing a game and do absolutely nothing but fanny about with the ball before losing possession.

Oh ma fkn heid :( ... 3-0

Maybe, but that had all the hallmarks of a ref itching for the chance to send him off. It was obvious. Should have taken him off.

And that’s 3. That should put the Leven for manager chat to bed at least.

New guy this week please ffs.

Meanwhile I’ve got ironing to do, will be better than watching any more of this latest pathetic capitulation…

As good as last week was, this is awful. Everything bad, and potentially horsed.

we need a manager asap, rudderless ship. Subbing bilalovic only at half is criminal. Players let leven down today, but he made a huge mistake at half time.

This puts paid to our lofty ambition of top 6. A smaller squad and wage bill for next season but at least a proper pre season with the league cup and hopefully rid of that tosser Leven.

Haha. Laundry, ironing, and shopping for me. Maybe wash the car. Freed up 30mins here.

Nothing in that challenge met the threshold for a red, and I'm not convinced at all they met the threshold for a yellow. There was absolutely zero force in an accidental collision. He's actively trying to pull out of the way of the player. The only thing it could be a yellow for is repeated fouling, but I'm fairly certain he only had one innocuous foul after his booking. A red is a fucking terrible decision. Really bad refereeing.

Again, I've probably said that a dozen times when Shinnie has been concerned and been wrong each time. It's easy to criticise Leven, but Shinnie was the only midfielder on that pitch pulling his weight and there's not a single midfielder on the bench that could replace him unfortunately. Where I think Leven made the error was (as @OrlandoDon suggests) not taking off any of the other midfielders to give Shinnie some help in there.
