Blow.Up.Sheep Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 Against Livi at the weekend was quite Probably out best performance and best result of the season so far It's no coincidence that we had 7 Scottish players in starting lineup Quote

I mean, getting balls in from the wing and strikers in the box, revolutionary stuff, who knew it would win us games. The character shown, after going 2-1 down, was the most pleasing part. It will mean sweet FA, if we don't get the points at Killie on Saturday 1 Quote

Blow.Up.Sheep Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Been a few days since this game and the racist allegations that followed it. It does seem to have all gone quiet on that front, has anybody heard anymore on the complaint that Livingston said they were going to raise? Quote
Ajja Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 (edited) It’s one of two things, either the player is back-pedaling on the ‘misheard’ ticket or everyone has agreed to say nothing while investigations happen. I’m suspecting the latter. All the dons podcasts were def following the whip and making statements and platitudes rather than getting into it which suggests a request form the club maybe? I suspect it doesn't need to be said. Everyone knows that an unproven accusation is very damaging, and that it's a sackable offence if true. There's a lot at stake. 3 Quote
swaddon Posted January 28 Author Report Posted January 28 It's on BBC Sport that Livingston have written to the SFA about it. Quote

This is one of these scenarios where there will be no winners, only losers. Regardless of the outcome of any enquiry, a lot of folk will always have their own opinion of what may or may not of happened unfortunately 1 Quote

SFA deciding not to follow scottish legal profession and abolish the 'not proven' verdict last January. I presume it will take them another 3 or 4 years to catch up Quote

Radiored Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Personally, I liked that part of Scots Law ... ie. the 'not proven' verdict. ... Aye, OK, it might hang a cloud over a suspect 'cleared', but could also hang a similar cloud over the accuser/prosecution in terms of being at best, incompetent, and at worst, full of 'putrid steaming shite'. Ah reckon the latter is the case re. Milne's accusation .... If there's anythin' Ah despise mair than racism, it's false accusation o' racism. The best tool in creatin' equality is truth. Fibbin' aboot bein' verbally abused an' greetin' for effect corrupts all effort for better relations, and harms nae only one side, but both/all. In which case, the 'not proven' verdict says ... the 'Livi boy' is full o' shite, black or white, .... funny thing tho ..... if Ah gather ma entire life experience o' ony time spent in Livingstone, and contact wi' folk fae Livingstone, it aa boils doon tae racist/sexist/violent cunts, clueless but stroppy cunts in a shithole wi' nae redeemin' features. Ah suspect the 'Livi Boy' has nae idea re. his ain fkn fanbase. ) Ah'm nae normally intae endorsin' ony kinda violence ... but Ah hope some fucker geez him a fkn physical 'proven' 'sentence' afore the season wraps up.
