Dons vs Livi 13/9/2025

Livi have proved to be stuffy as expected, so again, what should be an easy game won’t be. Interesting to see what changes given the signings we’ve made, although I’d expect karlsson and Armstrong will be a while away. Nisbet should be fit and should start. We can’t afford to fuck about with Yengi at all. I’d expect Milanovic to miss out having travelled back from NZ this week. You’d think we might even get a glimpse of Gyamfi, at least for the last 20 mins or something.

  • Be interesting to see who starts up front. Yengi does have the most minutes under his belt. There's every chance he starts with Lazetic and Nisbet coming off the bench later on. Also, I wonder if Thel

  • Yet another unfamiliar front three not quite getting it together, but individually I thought we weren't too bad save for a large spell in the second half. Created some really good chances. Aouchi

I think we should start by sacking everyone, and then play the previously sacked u19s.

With Hearts and Aberdeen again enjoying different fortunes, it's now 20 months since both teams won on the same say - 2 January 2024.

They didn't win on the same day at all last season.

Hearts aren't in the League Cup quarter finals, and we play Dundee United on a Tuesday, so perhaps that offers some opportunities to win since it's clearly Derek McInnes' fault for our league start.

"World's most unnecessary stat" thread for this shite

Im going to assume Celtic find a late winner but it’s irrelevant, we’re 5 points off third after the weekend going into a home cup quarter final, plus Europe to look forward to. Not bad considering we have 35 league games to play!

yesterday showed shite but also promise. Based on highlights, On another day aouchiche scores, karlsson scores, Clarkson scores, polvara’s post was his European goal, fine line. We have a full week to train that I expect a fitter and more connected team next weekend.

plenty of concern and negativity, but with a little time this could go very right. Cup win next weekend and a semi is a very positive boost too.

I suppose I should add I am not ignoring league form of 5 wins in 32 or whatever it is. At the same time, look at the squad overhaul since jimmy took over. That settles for a bit, cannot see an huge change I. January, surely we see improvement.

Nostrodamus? - penalty (very harsh according to the Beeb reporters) in 96th minute (there was supposed to be 3 mins added on) - or you just know your refs/Var in Scotland?

I hadn't actually looked that high up the table to notice that 🤣

Game in hand over most of the table too...

It’s either 5 or 6 points, seen two versions on the bbc!

from how we played at the start of last season, we got the breaks and took chances. We’d have won yesterday by 2 or 3.

Players will gain fitness, match sharpness, and chemistry. I’m optimistic. Even last season, as bad as we were from November onwards, had the last 2 weeks been different, we’d be third. Everyone beats everyone (mostly) in our league. A good run and we shoot up the league. Just hope Europe and the volume of games doesn’t have a negative impact.

We are basically title contenders right now
