Stephen Hawking dead at 76. Some going for a man who got told at 22 he would only last a few years which stretched out to 54.

Do you think he was maybe faking it?

A great innings.

Have they tried his on/off button?

There's a cracking episode of South Park along similar lines.

First Hawking and then Bowen.

Good to see they kept up the tradition of letting the non-darts player go first.

There's a celebrity deaths thread for this sort of thing.

Eric Bristow wasn't a celebrity, he was a proper bloke.

That was a shock when I heard that this morning. Darts was essential TV viewing when I was a kid and Bristow was certainly one of the best, his games against John Lowe were legendary.

Aye, but was he "gets his own thread" good?

I had a quick scroll through the threads for that but could not see it, but maybe the Admin guys could move this to the celebrity death section.

A moral and administrative victory for me, once again. Bristow can finally rest in peace.

Wasn't sure where to put this incase I started off a certain someone  ;)  Ex Partick and Hamilton Manager John Lambie popped his clogs today aged 77.

He did a fair old job at both clubs, proper old school manager.

It maybe deserves a thread of its own in the football section, but nae chancing it.

Ach nae my kind of manager, but a likeable enough chap.Think he was manager at Hamilton when he gave the Souness Huns a couple of embarassing defeats.

Chain smoked or inhaled cigars hence the rauch voice?.May be what finished him off.

Who he ?

Never heard of him.

Shite “musician”. I don’t even dare call him a DJ because he wasn’t one. Was not a fan of his music or what he represented but what a fucking waste of life. 28 years old...no age at all, had retired from performing and touring two years back to sort his life out. Suicide apparently  :-\
