They are from the same land where 'Owen' Jess scored a vital goal for Coventry

Valid point Tom 👌

Cheap goal to concede 🙄

Just as I was about to start watching too.

Anyone got any streams available now that fawa appears to have departed?

Posted

Bit of a meh performance so far, not really gotten going and gifted a poor goal. Would like to see more from Clarkson and adil to get us up the park.

Posted

Very cheap.  Overall we had looked not too bad up till that point. Ipswich look to be turning the screw now though.

Posted

Pretty much nothing from yengi so far too. Really want a 9 who gets involved. New signing by half time?

Posted

Too many mistakes, I don’t think we look very match sharp, perhaps a concern with the lack of preseason games..?

Posted

Similar to the first goal, we give away possession in our own half and we’re stretched. Mitov should have done better, either hold the shot or get it wide.

Posted

Any attack comes from our left and topi. Morris with his usual performance as a starting player unfortunately.

Very much a preseason game, they look decent at times and gifting two goal from mistakes certainly doesn’t help. They should have scored first minute, but Jensen should have scored shortly after. We’ve not been bad, topi and adil look lively, but pretty much zero from yengi and morris doesn’t help.

Defensively we're certainly getting a work out. It's mistakes they've punished. Their wingers are so much quicker than our full-backs; a quick one-two and they're in behind.

Started to get things going for the last 10 minutes of the half. I suspect a lot of that was Ipswich dropping the pace. Aouchiche looks good. Yengi maybe just sluggish due to pre-season and the injuries he's had, but so far disappointed at his lack of pace.

The commentators saying Ipswich plan to change most, if not all, of their starting XI on the hour mark, so we'll likely get a lot more joy in the second half.

More joy in the second half? I hope but we’ll make subs too and Ambrose is our only forward on the bench unless we play milanovic up top which is unlikely. I’m disappointed so far but agree about aouchiche.

First real run from yengi and he looks like Ambrose. I’m sure I’m like many, high hopes and want him to do well, but not much patience!

Posted

And 3. More attack minded in the second half but caught on a counter.

I know it's pre season but we're far too soft in this game. People walking through three and four tackles

Posted

Yep third comes just as we are actually starting to look like we might just get back into it shortly

Mitov hasn't looked brilliant this evening

Said it already, we don’t look sharp. And agree, you still win tackles!

Three-nil harsh on us, been much more pleasing on the eye from us in this half.

But, Mitov been poor, and again our full-back is outpaced. An Ipswich fan doing the Soccer AM "easy-easy" chant about 20 years after it went out of date sums up why we shouldn't invite English teams up here.

Yengi not impressing but I'll give him a chance before slating him. Palaversa too sloppy.

On a positive note though, the four of Keskinen-Aouchiche-Clarkson-Milanovic are showing promise. Milne has been good - I wouldn't blame him for the goals.

Good to see Nilsen back. The new boy Kjartansson coming on too will be interesting, looking forward to seeing him.

Anyone ever seen a team making eleven changes at once, other than during the half time interval 🤔

Watching with Ipswich TV commentary.

The co-commentator has just said "I know we scored four in Austria, but against this Aberdeen team I'd expect to score more than four this evening".

Has to be said - Ian Westlake is his name -despite my snippy comment, he's actually been an excellent co-commentator, have enjoyed listening to him.

And he may well be right with the "more than four goals prediction".
