New kit coming tmrw by the looks of things. Wise to get it out before the final, although an expensive week for anyone looking to get it or who will have a 10yo jumping up and down with excitement.

They are both off to Spain in a weeks time and the Scottish Cup win has my daughter wanting Aberdeen related stuff for each day of the trip. I can see my European trip fund being spent in an afternoon.

I'm undecided as yet (which probably means I'll have ordered it by lunchtime). I don't mind the polo shirt effect, plenty of nice strips had collars back in the good old days (90s). The rest of the design is just a bit boring and I'm really not sure about maroon: when Fergie's Gothenburg jacket is being used to justify it then marketing are definitely reaching.

I'll get a free shirt with my DNA membership but my issue is I didn't like the away shirt either.

Stripes look fucking maroon in some of the pictures. Collar is not great either. Really don’t like it.
 

On plus side my daughter and wife are unlikely to want it so will save me a fortune.

The two-tone red kit features a red inspired by two periods in our history. The dark maroon red pays homage to the colour worn by the original Aberdeen team founded in 1881. That Aberdeen side would then go on to merge with Orion and Victoria United to form Aberdeen FC in 1903, and the rest is history.

This maroon red colour was also prominent on our most famous night in 1983 within the bench jacket worn by Sir Alex Ferguson as we defeated Real Madrid in Gothenburg, and most recently celebrated late last year throughout the launch of our adidas SPZL range.

The more I see it the more I'm inclined to think it's alright, and I think it'll look great when we add the League Cup to our trophy collection.

The strip is the only thing standing between us and silverware in my opinion.

I like it. The stripes though will be barely noticeable. Nix had a similar attempt in yellow and it failed miserably. But yeah, I don’t mind it in all honesty. It’s not like it’s a maroon kit, jute

No need for any maroon on our tops. White would have been fine. At least it’s not orange or green I suppose.
