I thought Ambrose was our most technical player - every description I hear of him is "technically, he's a footballer ..."

Clarkson is far more technically gifted than anything this lad has in his video reel.

Well I've missed this whilst being on the golf course this afternoon.

A very interesting looking signing for us who patently has something about him but maybe has lost his way a bit. Let's be honest if he hadn't we wouldn't be getting a sniff at bring him to our club.

Am I right in thinking that Scott Burns has reported our option to buy is £1.5m ?

To @SAFC fan thanks for the info and background and c'mon The Toon 😂

Great bit of intel there from @SAFC fan , so thanks! Desperately trying not to get too excited for next season, but on paper, we’ve signed some very good players. Interested to see how it all comes together and hopefully it will be a case that it just clicks. I’d agree with OD though, feel we still need an out and out no.9.

Another one here, as I said before, a bit palaversa-ish, highly regarded youth who has lost his way.

Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen have made an offer of €500,000 to AC Ajaccio for their 19-year-old striker, Moussa Soumano, who is under contract until 2026.

From L'Equipe. He was previously linked with Celtic.

Also some chat that we may be interested in Thierry Gale, who is a forward/left winger/No.10. Bolton & Dundee United also credited with an interest.

Soumana has signed for NAC Breda

Given the secrecy of our signings, were we even in for him???

Scott Burns seems to be on the money with his stories this year so guessing we were but have been out bid. Happens so we move on.

Have to say that thought has occurred to me also 😉

Breda appear to have paid EUR 800k upwards. He would’ve been our 4th choice winger. Probably best we didn’t get tempted into a bidding war.

I thought he was a striker?

Played 21 of his 28 games last season as forward according to transfermarket site. 7 as winger.

One thing I notice from this (apart from maybe Aouchiche, presuming that's him next to Knoester) is all our new signings are quite tall. Yengi, Kjartasson, Gyamfi*, even Milanovic - and I guess the goalkeeper, as would expect - are all fairly tall lads.

*May be a trick of the camera on account he's stood next to Shinnie.

Handy thing to have for set pieces. Also, think a lot of Hibs 'success' last season was down to how tall and athletic a lot of their players were, and we've maybe looked at that.

Ill have another crack at recognising the players the morn.Up to about 50% so far 😎

Hard to say for sure without actually seeing him play a few games but probably the early 90's 2bh.  That was the last time we could afford to sign genuinely technical players.

Dunno why, but I read that and immediately thought of Craig Hignett. But then read on and realised we've also had the likes of Madison, Christie  McGinn and Miovski more recently

I thought hignett automatically. Did we not have Noel Whelan for a while too. Proven player down south that didn't really set the grass on fire.

Watched the seven minutes. Looks good at holding up the ball ( when received to feet) and finding a pass. Good graft too. But shoots with the conviction of a man who doesn't expect to score.

Time will tell if he can adapt to the hustle and bustle of the spl. Would be great competition for Clarkson and maybe offer more presence in some games on top of some quality.

Good move for him and gets him playing at a higher level. Assuming this is a normal loan rather than  cooperation one.

Yes I am to lazy to look.

You are also grammatically incorrect with your last line 😉

We strike out on all of our targets, and are left to choose between Fraser Hornby, Curtis Main, Sam cosgrove, or go all in on Ambrose? Or do we play with 10?
